Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

if they're not injured, they need some minutes and fitness desperately.

    Brighton & Hove Albion (A) - Sat 9th Nov, 17:30 | PL | Pre-Match

Little Ron Manager in me would go back to a flat back 4 and calm things down, plus Lewis needs a rest. But Pep is so stubborn, he chooses a system and sticks with it (turns out this has worked for over the years!!). I dunno. Walker, 2 fit CBs, Ake, across the back and just have a game not...

    Decent City Bets 24/25

like you, I deferred the Bournemouth game because despite the loss at Spurs and the injuries, our starting XI was very good, and we had a great results history against them, enough for me to swerve it. What I saw in that game was enough to convince me to back Sporting. I take your point about...

    Decent City Bets 24/25

The only way to bet on City is during the match when we're losing but playing well, and when you recognise that we're out of form with issues but people just back us because we're us. One such example of the latter is now. For my sins, i backed Spurs due to the bad timing of the game and...

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

possibly in reference to the Soton game, where he missed some rather easy chances. He seems a bit out of sorts at the mo, just a blip.

    66 | Jahmai Simpson-Pusey - 2024/25

well done to the young man for his decent first half showing. Got torn to bits in the second as the seniors offered zero support, but i think he can be proud of his 1st half showing.

    26 | Savinho - 2024/25

i've been pretty happy with Savinho's season so far. He's shown great skill, a good touch, got a few assists, he could really do with a goal or two more though!! I thought at Sporting he showed good movement and he gave their left back a tough time for 40 mins. i think he did show a little bit...

Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

not nice to lose. Thankfully 2 of the recent losses have been quite meaningless competition-wise, i'd wager all 3 have actually, but obviously it builds a picture of bad form and tactical issues that are getting repetitive. i thought the 1st half had a lot of decent stuff - Foden looked on it...

    New CL Format Thoughts | After GW2 (pg13) | GW3 (pg33)

i think the variability around the draw difficulties is pretty low.

    Gigs Thread

I went to see Bob Dylan last night in Liverpool, my first time. I was some what in awe, a really fantastic experience. For those who haven't seen Dylan, or know much about it, he is extremely re-interpretive, the bigger-hitters (e.g. All Along the Wacth Tower, It Ain't Me Babe, Baby Blue) are...

Missed him in midfield, looked better when he came on.

Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Well done Bournemouth, I really have to start by saying they played really decent stuff, panicked a little at the end, but a well deserved win. Their fans must be cocker hoop right now, the best side in their history, playing really good football. Semenyo was a constant menace, a big lad with...

Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

Twas a little tongue in cheek. To see de Bruyne on the bench and Stones nowhere was a bit of a surprise.

Does anyone actually understand who's injured or not!

    Bournemouth (A) - Sat 2nd Nov, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I think it's likely, they didn't play EDS, unless I'm mistaken

Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

No, but you can understand the thinking, he likes central roles and he can finish well, last season is testament to that, but he really doesn't seem comfortable at false 9 at the moment. That might change.

    Bournemouth (A) - Sat 2nd Nov, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Ederson Lewis. Dias. Ake. Gvardiol Yep that's the 11 for me, apart from i think Lewis will start ahead of Akanji, fitness dictating. If Gvardiol makes it (unsure on his status?) he'll be benched. Savinho won't. Bernardo and Nunes swapped over.

    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

I think he's doing very well to play a position that is pretty bloody weird, it takes intelligence and a lot of restraint to stay in position. Not sure I totally like it, but that's a different matter. Still very young.
