I'm going down tomorrow and may just stand outside the entrance with my boot bag but in case that doesn't work anyone going down there with a spare ticket by any chance? Taking my son but not managed to get a ticket myself.

West Ham at home final day of last season. If that isn't grabbing a game by the scruff of the neck, I don't know what is.
 
no surprising omissions from EDS-Wilson-Esbrand starts left back, presumably trying to build up fitness. O'Reilly. Simpson-Pusey and Wright not involved-seemingly with the first team.

You said he hadn't ever grabbed a game by scruff of the neck, I gave a very recent example. We need him to do it this season, but just as he stepped up last season, I'm sure he will again. It's a long season.

He also bossed the 4-0 Brighton away game near the end of the season...I was there and he was unbelievable that night

would guess mcatee and one of the cb's also on the bench if akanji is fit as reported.

Assuming Gvardiol and savinho are out for this one then :

Ederson
Akanji stones Dias ake
Kovacic gundo foden
Nunes haaland Bernardo

Bench: Ortega, Carson, Lewis, mcatee, wright, o Reilly, Simpson-Pusey

would be my guess

Phil going through what loads of players do after a long run in a national tourny after the previous season. A combination of more games, little rest and the emotional toll. He’ll have gone into it expecting big performances and must feel let down by the ex-manager. He’ll come good eventually.

Yep that's the 11 for me, apart from i think Lewis will start ahead of Akanji, fitness dictating. If Gvardiol makes it (unsure on his status?) he'll be benched. Savinho won't.

Bernardo and Nunes swapped over.
