Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

If you mean JJ Moons, the big Wetherspoons in Wembley, that was some night in there. We ended up getting the tube down to Trafalgar Square and everyone was squirting each other with fire extinguishers. Then we were jumping in the fountains and singing City songs on the lions.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Stand your ground. You’re on a football forum which is literally for fans to post stuff and others to agree or disagree. Without rumours and hearsay and bullshit - and occasional nuggets of truth- it would be a very dull place.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You did fuck all wrong mate. Regulars know you aren't a bullshitter. You're getting shit because people don't like the message. I'm hoping it's chinese whispers ("If it doesn't go our way the worst we could get might be 40 points" kind of quote) but I don't doubt you're reporting in good faith.

    Atmosphere 2024/25

I agree with this. It’s the roar of the crowd that makes an atmosphere that the players respond to. The only singing that makes a difference is that which goes around the stadium and fills the bowl. That’s why Pep gesticulates behind him when he wants more noise.

Present Day Football, Fans and Any Other Stuff You Hate About It!

Young football "fans" who have never set foot in a stadium and think supporting a club is done by sending around memes mocking other clubs. Also the modern day obsession with size of crowds and "quality" of support. Fucking do my head in. If you want to talk about fans being "great" then look...

City Want Fans In Their Seats By 4:20pm (Please)

If I know City they'll do it again before the 12.30 Everton game and it will fall flat on its arse.

    Atmosphere 2024/25

That’s because of the roof. This is why we have to have the singers at the back of the extended north stand.

It was patchy but pretty good overall.

Manchester City releases 2023-24 Annual Report | Record £715m revenue, profit of £73m

Not many clubs are as successful as us. We should be making an operating profit in a season we won’t the league and got close to the end of the chapoions league and other tournaments.

    Old long forgotten City songs

Maine Road songs, all replaced by “clap clap clap we’re not really empty seats the scouser’s dream has never won four in a row clap clap clap clap clap” at 100mph. Directly caused by our singing areas having no low roof, so the singers need to clap to get their songs to catch on around them...

Manchester City releases 2023-24 Annual Report | Record £715m revenue, profit of £73m

We spent £42m on charitable donations and made a £60m operating loss?!?!?!?!? Not doubting you mate but if we did that sounds very much like “tax planning” to me. Corporation tax has gone right up.

Manchester City releases 2023-24 Annual Report | Record £715m revenue, profit of £73m

I haven’t read it but I’m amazed we made a 60m operating loss in a season where we won the league, got to the FA cup final and came close to winning the champions league. That’s not good news for anyone worried about Matchday prices.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I was just thinking about this. We've dropped about 15 points over Autumn already and if we don't qualify for the CL latter stages that could be $50m. I think, certainly for us fans, it's more about vindication and even a small punishment can be used to tarnish the club's greatest ever acheivements.

    Seat Counters - 2024/25

I suspect that, like me, he's finding your weekly detirmination to find imaginary empty seats in our stadium increasingly annoying. There are enough lies going around about our club and its attendances without our own fans making stuff up.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I suspect that this only means that the auditors are satisfied that relegation, or its equivalent in points reduction, is not on the table. A points deduction of say 10 points or whatever is no different to the shit run of form we've just had and the possibility of poor form doesn't merit...

    Seat Counters - 2024/25

I think those websites list tickets they don’t actually have. They sell a few and then source what they’ve sold.

    Atmosphere 2024/25

I’m not convinced. I bet they are going for big money on the third party sites. Im not sure many people are daft enough to spend £500 only to get a slap and then thrown out.

    Atmosphere 2024/25

There haven’t been United fans visible in City areas since we moved to the stadium. Maybe one or two occasionally but it doesn’t happen.

Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

That’s exactly right. Drug related I think and I only remember one set of lads were from Moston. I was right there by the stacked up chairs at the back. But I’d already had my bag nicked (well remembered mate!) after a kick off about half an hour before closer to the river which was city and...
