    Hard man city 11

Roy Paul famously told the team just before the 1956 FAC Final that he hadn't got to Wembley 2 yrs on the trot to lose again. If City lost he said he would sort them all out, one by one. There were some toughies in that team, but they all believed he would do it. Now that's a hard man IMHO and...

Carabao Cup R3 Draw | Watford (H) | Tues 24th Sept, 49 hours after Arsenal

Exactly the same with me. Had the same email from City this afternoon even though I'd updated my card in the summer. Even though my existing card was valid until 2027. Like you, I've since gone through the update process again. Honestly, City's IT system isn't fit for purpose. Supporting the...

Carabao Cup R3 Draw | Watford (H) | Tues 24th Sept, 49 hours after Arsenal

I'm the same. Still showing in reservations. I had assumed the TO was waiting until the Inter game was out of the way. If nothing happens by Monday morning I guess I'll have to set an hour aside and ring them :-(

    Season card screen shot

As far as I know for PL matches the game display is purely cosmetic. The season ticket is on the phone so should work anyway, no matter what game is displayed.

Wearing your City top in public

As an FOC I only wear a City shirt for the match. Don't feel the need to wear it any other time. I know who, and what, we are and that's good enough for me. Too many nobheads around nowadays and I can't be arsed with the hassle.

Applause 26 mins Saturday RIP Michael Mitten Shufflebotham.

Such a sad loss at so young an age. It must however be of some comfort that during his short life he would have experienced so much joy from supporting City throughout these glory years. RIP.

    Brian Clough interview.

Yep, sounds right. My mate lived between Long Eaton and Beeston. He called for papers on the way to his allotment.

    Brian Clough interview.

There was a human side to Cloughie though. A true story - In the late 1970's City were drawn away at Forest in the FAC but the match was postponed at the lunchtime due to a waterlogged pitch. It had been lashing down all Friday night & Saturday morning and the River Trent had burst its banks...

    Maine Road tea trolley

I seem to recall in the early 60's they also sold meat pies from the trolley, or is my memory playing tricks ?

    Ten Hag sacked! (P 416)

I was talking to a rag in the pub last Friday. One of those who never goes to watch them but knows everything about football. You know the sort. He was saying how well they'd bought this summer and that now they've got a proper structure in place, with people who know what they're doing...

Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

Indeed. He gave us something that had seemed to have deserted us - real hope. RIP Sven, you'll be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many Blues.

Let's face it Fellow Blues, we've been miles ahead of them for more than a decade now. That's a long, long time in football. As much as I took great delight in beating them in the CS I had to face the fact that anything less would have been an embarrassment. That's how far we have come It ain't...

What was it that Rachel Reeves said this week ? "If we can't afford it, it ain't happening" ( or words to that effect ). I don't think Scruffy Jim and Andy Burnham will be able to get around that one.
