    United thread 2017/18

Think they should rename it the Centre for Uniteds Next Team of Superstars Stadium. Bit of a mouthful, I know, so probably best to abbreviate it just like we did with CoMS

    Phil Neville on Sky Sports

I watched this game in Hope with 2 other Blues, all of us recovering after brain surgery, all crowded around an i pad (Sky Go) along with 2 City supporting nurses. The mood we were in after seeing Everton come back to draw and then watching City beat Wolves, was nothing short of...

    Salford Royal Hospital Open day.

Best hospital by a proverbial mile. Had 2 ops at Hope, one on my brain, one on my neck. Neurosurgeons were brilliant (Messrs Leggate and Holland), pre and post op care brilliant, follow up care in the months after brilliant. Am on the mailing list as a Friend of Salford Royal and make regular...

    UEFA Women's Euro 2017

Couldn't agree more. Also how the hell is Nobbs starting over Parris? Nobbs, White and Williams have been shocking. City Women would thrash both of these teams. The difference in tactics and the way CW play is miles ahead. Kiera Walsh should be anchoring this side. Sampson is a typical...

Words that people have different meanings of

Interestingly Dave, or probably not, but I always remember in English lessons at school it is scone, to rhyme with gone, in the singular and scones to rhyme with bones in the plural. Don't know how true that is though, maybe somebody with a degree in English can confirm (or dispel it as bollocks).

Thank You Aleks - (Kolarov's goodbye video)

I loved him. Ok he wasn't Maradonna, Pele and Moore rolled into one, but he was a Blue, one of us, and deserved more respect from some. Gave his best and was part of the most successful period in our history, along with coming across as a really nice fella with a great sense off humour. Good...

    Benjamin Mendy

Post of the thread. Incredible how some don't get it. We are at the top table now - owner, exec management, manager and coaches, players, facilities and backroom staff - everything is in place to win the lot in future seasons. Not saying we will but we've one hell of a chance. Strap in, enjoy...

    Welcome Danilo

I'll admit I know nothing about him as a player but if Pep wanted him then that's enough. Will get 100% support from me. Like his interview, seems quite personable and also determined to succeed. Welcome to God's own club Danny.

Sky Sports Relaunch- New and Exclusive Channels for Football

I had a call from Sky this morning asking me, as a former customer, would I like to take out their new sports package at a reduced rate blah blah blah. I politely informed the bloke that I will not give that organisation one penny for the privilege of listening to uniformed no marks slagging off...

Haha. I'll take your word for it mate. TBH I cannot actually remember posting that, I was more pissed than I thought :-)

    Ryan Bertrand

My opinion, for what it's worth (and I'm a bit pissed), is that Bertrand wou.ld be a great signing. Thought him and Sterling linked up really well in the recent international against France. to further that point, I was also quite impressed with him whenever I saw him play for Saints last...

    Alexis Sanchez

fair enough fella. He's a nobhead either way though

To be fair, fella, there is an area of Paris called Saint Germain - Saint-Germain-des-Pres to be precise. It's in the 6th Arrondissement, also known as the Latin Quarter. That said, I don't know if PSG play there tbh haha :-) Not been to Paris since 2001 and that wasn't an area I visited...

    Alexis Sanchez

I don't think there's any "probably" about it mate :-) As you quite rightly pointed out, one way in one way out (except for the ferry over to Knott End in the summer). Give Stoke fans a serious run for their money.

    It's Quiet - a new dawn

I said exactly the same Rammy. Like you, I'm just the same numpty fan sat in the stands, and yet it was/is as plain as the nose on your face. Having said that, however, the problems facing the club in that scenario are three fold as I see it. 1) Identifying players who fit the system 2)...

    Alexis Sanchez

He's from Fleetwood, just up the road ('bout 9 miles from me) For anyone who's not familiar with the Fylde coast, Fleetwood is full of two kinds of people: those with the IQ of an unwatered house plant and those who lean towards the dark side. I think he's both - a thick rag twat. Quite...
