City's best ever goal mouth scramble.... 29 years ago today!

Thanks for the info fella. The "ladder" is still a topic of conversation amongst me and my mates to this day. Will pass this on when we next meet for a beer.

FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

Bloody hell mate, they might be from Yarkshire but even so they expect their half of lager and lime in a glass! :-)

City's best ever goal mouth scramble.... 29 years ago today!

Remember the Oldham game and the ladder very well. On the way in to our allocated end, there were Blues climbing over the wall, jibbing in for nowt. When we got in I can remember watching the ladder go up and I along with my mates stood there opened mouthed in disbelief. Does anyone on here know...

City V Huddersfield Town Previous Games

Have posted on here previously that I was at the 10-1 and didn't see the 10th go in! As Whitey raced clear I couldn't bear to watch and just reacted to the ensuing bedlam surrounding me in the Kippax. Had to watch the re-run on Sunday afternoon on Kick Off, or was it the Big Match, on ITV...

FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

Get through this tie and there's only 1 further chance of getting a home draw. Wonder if we could go all the way and win it without having one single home game. Has it been done in recent times? * By recent, I mean after football was invented in 1992!

FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

Having lived and worked there I can categorically state that a lot of the local female population are bloody stunning. Also quite, er... accommodating... if you know what I mean! Especially after a few drinks and a few complimentary remarks :-)

FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

Ran 2 pubs in Huddersfield, going back a few years (not at the same time!) and own a house in Hudds (Birkby area) which I rent out. Will deffo be going over for this ticket or not. Used to know quite a few of their lads - the "Huddersfield Youth" - rum fuckers some of them, especially at...

    Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

A few of years ago, Ric, a really close friend of mine (I am godfather to his daughter) introduced me to an old school friend of his - twas in a pub in Alty. It transpires that said school friend is the editor of the Daily Star and it also turns out that the very same school friend is a "die...

    Article by Iheanacho

Wow. Wonderful and somewhat emotional read. Really, really hope this young man makes it to the very top. We moan and groan about the most trivial things, just look at this place when we lose a bloody football match. This article puts a lot of things into perspective, or should do.

Paul Power interview in The Independent

I was at Villa Park in '81 but NOT at York away. Did we take a big following and if so, why hasn't it been mentioned on here? I met PP outside Maine Rd after visiting the club shop. Absolute gent he was.

The Emirates FA Cup - Third Round 17/18 Jan

All true as far as I have been told mate. I could go into great detail but not on an open fan forum. Some people could get into serious bother and the info could also be damaging to the "cause" so to speak. Not forgetting also that the Oyston family are vindictive bastards when it comes to...

The Emirates FA Cup - Third Round 17/18 Jan

My brother in law, his family, my nephews, my ex next door neighbour and my boss - all season ticket holders for years at Blackpool. All followed them for years in the lower divisions, up to the PL, and back down again. Home and away. Rain and shine. I know that they have mixed feelings now...

Sagna fined 40K for social media post.

I have never understood why this happens. Attacking player tries to grab the ball in order to sprint back to the centre circle, obviously hoping to hasten the restart. Why? The team that has just scored won't be kicking off again. Bacs should have said "there you go, have the fucking thing...

    Danny Mills

I was shopping in Tesco this morning and whilst walking down the bread aisle I thought to myself "bloody hell, Danny Mills has a loaf of bread named after him". After putting on my reading glasses though, I realised it said "Thick Cut"

Christ, that looks like it was made by a classroom of kids aged 8 year old. It hasn't even been proof read either before going to print. Nobheads.

Greatest (or most memorable) game you ever saw?

City away versus Lytham, pre season friendly, won 4-1. Early to mid seventies IIRC. In the mad scramble to get autographs at the end of the game Kenny Clements trod on my foot. I was only a young nipper and he (to me back then) was a giant - my foot was black and blue. Haven't forgot THAT game...

Greatest (or most memorable) game you ever saw?

Could have been mate. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then (and a lot of alcohol consumed) lol. I can say with certainty that there wasn't many there that day! :-)
