    United Thread - 2021/22

Sancho scores against the Saints. Reported as a brilliant goal. Sterling is berated for scoring similar tap-ins. Expect calls for Sancho to replace Raheem in the England team now he has scored 2 in 3 but the rags still only get to draw at home against Southampton.

Must as we complain about the lack of balance and coverage about City, most other teams rarely get a mention apart from when there is a connection to the medias favourite American owned teams in red

    Media Thread - 2021/22

Red dipper, rag and arse influence is declining. This week I saw Needum, Micah, Joleon, Yaya and Nigel as pundits on tv. Not so long ago it was only Richard Dunne. Times are certainly changing.

Kev played much deeper. Almost at times as a sweeper but would also move up front. This is part of Peps evolution of the Dutch total football where players not only revolve positions but actively interchange. Cryuff and followers never had to contend with 8-9-10 men defences in their own...

    Brentford (H) - Post-Match Thread

How can you expect ex-players from another era to understand Peps football when top players who sign for City say it takes time for them to understand, in spite of being coached on a daily basis?

Didi Hamann. There is a red scouse mercenary name to conjure with who took a City payday yet is reluctant to acknowledge what we have achieved since.

Mario Balotelli back in the Italy squad

Good luck Mario and Roberto Mancini. He offers something different. Whether he delivers is a matter for them.

    Barcelona Thread - 2021/22

Barca have always promoted themselves as a membership sports club and not just football. Their business model is falling apart like many of the history clubs that relied on patronage and sustained dominance. They benefited from the changes in media exposure but have failed to move with the times.

    City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Will the PL fair value assessment work retrospectively when the history clubs fail to meet expectations based on original perceived values and will penalties be applied? Investment is precisely that and you cannot have different rules for new than for old and whether or not they succeed or...

    Media Thread - 2021/22

Until Chelsea and now City, the teams in red dominated for a couple of generations. The time coincided with tv exposure and the rise of social media. For too long, red success was the go to easy story until the arrival of the "nasty cheating" teams in blue spoiled the party by winning things and...

BBC Fans poll of "Team Of The Season" so far - No City players!

Ballon d'Or. FIFA and similar awards seem to have a virtual life of their own outside of reality.

    Media Thread - 2021/22

Decades ago the middle east desert oil states started to plan for the future. Their business plan has evolved even since the takeover of City. It was always different to the "history clubs" but has evolved into something they could not anticipate, have failed to stop and is unlikely they will...

    Media Thread - 2021/22

This dates back to the 1950's and before when the centre of pitches were mud heaps for most of the year. Busby introduced the concept of all players getting behind the ball when losing possesion. That is part of "the United style" and not much different to Klopps philosophy.

BBC Fans poll of "Team Of The Season" so far - No City players!

Meaningless clickbait drivel driven by those few who choose to visit the BBC website. Most fans only see players on their own team so little appreciation of other teams style of play and players.

    City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

City having the highest TO., overtaking Utd, would send shock waves throughout football. The simple message would be that the most successful clubs earn the most money. It is hard to argue against even for those with an agenda against City and our owners.
