    10 | Rayan Cherki - 2025/26

Thought Phil operated more as a 10 or more centrally in that season because De Bruyne missed most of it? That's why there was so much clamour for Southgate to play him in his "right position" in euro 2024, at the end of that season

Did you miss the part of the season where we losing games and Trafford had some howlers which contributed, then the best keeper in the world come in and we looked more solid than we have for good while and had a good undefeated streak until a few days ago?

    26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Doku is showing gradual improvements. As for Bobb, he's not played that much in reality, but I have to say I don't see this immense potential that some say he has. That's not to say he won't be a good player but we don't need good players, we need players that are gonna win you big...

Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Can't disagree with that. Even people like Kev had a lot of fire in him. That's missing from a lot of our players. Take Kev as I mentioned. As great a player as he was, and he truly was great, a fair few of his goals and assists were down to sheer will and determination when things weren't...

    20 | Bernardo Silva - 2025/26

His snails pace is becoming a hindrance in the ability to attack these days. At one point in the first half he was outside their box, basically one on one with a defender. He knew he had no chance of taking him on, so instead he just chipped it somewhere in Haaland's direction even though he was...

Poor performance The result itself isn't a big shock though. I think the level of where we are now isn't much different to the likes of Villa anyway. We are closer to them than we are to arsenal and that'll be reflected once 38 games are complete

Match Thread | Aston Villa vs. Manchester City (26/10/25)

Well he wouldn't. If that were true, he would've been getting about 150 a season at barca, given the amount of chances they used to create.. All strikers miss plenty of chances, including Messi. Like in the 2014 world cup final when we was played in on goal and missed.

I think there's something to be said for actually playing left footed players on the left etc..like back in the day. Savinho looking good there. Crosses weren't great but keep it coming

    Liverpool Thread | 2025/26

Yep No doubt he's been an excellent player but last season was last hurrah. He's losing a bit of sharpness and also he's a lazy **** without the ball. So if he's not coming up with the goods as frequently as he once was, then they're basically carrying a player who doesn't help out and not...

    Sunderland thread | 2025/26

Fair play to them Looks like they've come into the league and quickly sussed out a lot of these sides aren't actually that good and having a real go at them. I think too many newly promoted sides come up and just try to fiddle their way through and survive. Sunderland have come up and have...

They are shit but they can be top 4 or 5 Aside from ourselves, Arsenal and Liverpool if they can get it together, the rest of the league are mediocre.

Yeah I always thought he was a bit younger. I'd have thought there would be a lot more interest from big clubs because he's proven his quality for a few seasons consistently now but he's nearing 30 already. He deserves one last good move though. He's probably still got at least 3 or 4 good...

    Liverpool Thread | 2025/26

I still wouldn't rule them out of being contenders but they're looking a lot like us last season with teams cutting through them way too easily. At least we had our reasons. Rodri missing, an ageing squad and injuries. It was just one season too many for us as we didn't strengthened the team...

From Nuno to Dyche via Ange in the space of about a month. You'd think they were shooting themselves in the foot on purpose.

Indeed City always come first. If a rag win somewhere helps us win a title then that's all that matters. Not that I'd be cheering them on either, but I'd never rather see them lose it if diminishes our chance of success by doing so. I don't get the mentality of some city fans that seemingly...

    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

You might be surprised by the reviews some of our best midfielders got early in their city career by our fans. Rodri being the famous one. "Plodri" wasn't it? He's been here a couple of months. He has plenty of ability. He's going to be a good player for us. I'd definitely like to see more...
