My take was that van dick was on the line but the contract with the opponent was outside. Therefore, refs original award was correct. Clear and obvious mistake. Don't think so. Oh well shit happens.

Mcmanaman last night was saying that the reason there was that much injury time was because Brentford were taking "40 minutes " for every corner.

I personally know Councillor John Shuttleworth. He used to sponsor St Johns Chapel FC on a Sunday morning. He is the most placid, pleasant man you would ever meet. The work he has done for all of Weardale over the years is amazing and he is tireless.

I was reading about this the other day. Have changed the procedure so that there will be no one independent on the committee. Basically, marking their own homework.

    Gigs Thread

Was at the Glasshouse last night. Hadn't been for years. My has it gone to the dogs. However, the sound was as good as always. Suzanne Vega was brilliant. My only gripe was when she had a bit of a rant against Trump about a dozen people in the crowd booed. If you don't want to hear...

    Memory loss

If I tell my wife I'm going to watch a football match in 2 hours, she will completely forget this and then ask me to do something. However, if I was to say to her that I will transfer £200 into her account on the 27th August 2031 at 2pm, at 2.05pm on said day she will remind me I haven't yet...

    26. Recursion - Blake Crouch. Superb 5/5. I had previously read the Pines trilogy and loved them. Not sure why it took me so long to read another of his. A time travelling epic.

League Cup @ Newcastle Utd, Gateshead Stadium, 2pm, Sunday

I would have been there but Unite organised a meeting for midday on Sunday. Wouldn't care but I'm at the Glasshouse, Gateshead on the evening.

Last night whilst bored I trawled through our local Reform UK Facebook page. They obviously vet their followers as well as the party vets councillors. I found 2 immigrants from Africa as members. Also 1 member was previously head of a group protesting against the removal of the Pride flags...

I did quite a few games with Tony Harrington when he was starting out. When I saw he had progressed to the football league a few years ago I was very surprised. Now he's stumbled into the PL a couple of years ago I am totally amazed. His main problems IMO is his lack of confidence in himself.

    Stephen Yaxley-Lennon

So he goes on X and basically divulges what this young lady insisted he didn't divulge. Right Tommy. That's plausible.

    You are the Ref..

I'm getting there but without seeing it it's hard to say. If the penalty taker is ahead of the person taking the shot then he's offside.... I think?

A friend of mine went down to the Reform UK rally in Crook, Co Durham this afternoon as I was at work. 32 people attended. He also said that he thinks quite a few came from out of town. Poor show considering the population of our town is approximately 13k. Not surprisingly the Facebook page...

    Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

There has been an experiment in the Northern league for the last couple of years where if you abuse the ref you get 5 minutes in the sin bin. Hasn't stopped it one bit
