You seem to struggle to comprehend that for a lot of people it's just not an interesting talking beyond 'aww that's sad' and that's it. Lots of us did that on Thursday, then forgot about it and moved on on Friday. You don't have to like that, and I'm sorry if anyone finds it disrespectful, but...

Ha! Absolutely loads of people. Me and my wife are very chatty people. Really nice community spirit where we live too. Neighbours talk to each other, people do in shops etc. Not a single soul brought it up. On Thursday yes, but since... genuinely not one. Edit - I tell a lie. Passed a guy in...

Haha! Yes, I have. Every day, including all day Saturday, all day Sunday. On Ramsbottom's high street yesterday they literally had a black pudding throwing competition going on. Some fairground rides for kids too. Streets were lined with people. We stood about watching it for ages. Hundreds of...

Wouldn't you if you were 6'5, built like a Viking and the pace of Usain bolt? lol. Wouldn't fear anything. Literally no one.

No you're an oxymoron! Etc. But yeah ha. I'm an idiot.

Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

I've found a Forbes article and it doesn't state anything close to 19 billion. Best I can find is hundreds of millions a year, which is vague and nowhere near that.

Ah I didn't realise prick was a delete post worthy thing. I see Klopp and co called that and much worse on here all the time! A quick search shows there are an insane amount of uses of prick on here that go undeleted. Royal privileges kicking in already I guess :)

Simple solution. Let one half act how they want, the other how they want. Difference is only one half is being told to change their routines for the other.

In a different thread, in a different post, in an entirely different context, in response to what I felt was arrogant, prickish behaviour?? Strange to link the two posts several hours apart, but you do you. Edit - did you really delete my post? Ha. Who reported that? The soft arse.

I live in Ramsbottom, which is a relatively traditional area. Tory MP. Went heavy on the jubilee etc. I was expecting there, if anywhere, would feel sombre and show signs of real grieving. Literally nothing has changed. Everyone acting normal. No bunting, no pics of the queen. Shops open. Staff...

Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

The French earn an absolute fortune from people visiting their palaces. No King or Queen doesn't seem to bother them. The 19 billion a year seems dubious. What's the source for that? Plenty of contrarian viewpoints that suggest they don't pay their way anywhere near as much as people suggest...

Absolutely mate. There's more than we think, but trying to be respectful as the forum is very tetchy right now! It is the wrong call imo. A really bad call.

Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

If people have to keep explaining why it's such a big deal, then maybe they're not realising just how much things have changed. It quite simply isn't a big deal for many, many people, myself included. Historically I get why it is, I suppose, but it absolutely doesn't feel like it's something...

Ha he made it up. Does it all the time and the press always fall for it.

It isn't. Just a stupid country being stupid as per usual as to not upset large parts of the right wing media. I can't think of anything more respectful than millions of sports fans singing the national anthem this weekend.

Fair enough. I disagree but I guess I'll get cancelled on here if I continue to say anything, so this is my last post in here. Sorry for those who are saddened by this.

But I feel strongly about this too hence posting in this thread so not sure how that analogy relates to this? Only difference is mine is not the popular opinion. Fair enough.

    Queen Elizabeth II

that's fine, but it's worth remembering that other people will define extraordinary in different ways. You're entitled to view her that way, but many don't for many reasons and will obviously struggle to relate to all of this...and that's fair enough. Anyway, sorry for any offence caused, but...

Fair enough. Letting my emotions get the better of me as I don't think they're good people. I'll apologise and move on.
