UK to introduce porn age-checks in July

My mate uses Opera as a browser, and they are still getting asked to age verify.

UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

I have zero interest in the women's team or football. But saw the shoot out and how much it means to them. Congratulations.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Didn't do that much after Kajagoogoo, unlike Nick Beggs who went on to be a well respected bassist and Chapman Stick player.

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Yup, but one band always gets left out of such lists, and they are not just English, but also Mancs. Sad Cafe. Some say they even preceded the American bands with that 'sound'.

Ozzy ... when he did a farewell gig, he fucking meant it was farewell. R.I.P. legend.

    City Everywhere

Drove to Fleetwood beach today with the dogs taking a different route, and saw this at both entrance and exit to Rossall school and college.

    The day the tables turned

I was at a local gig the night before. It suddenly hit me like a brick, City are finally back at Wembley, and not only that, but playing the Vermin. And I'm not going. I thought sod it, I'm going down, try and get a ticket or at least watch it in a pub nearby if not. I recall putting a post on...

28 Years Later. Started off really good, but last 20 mins just got very silly. 6/10.

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Ditto, I may not be a fan of his main band (The Down N Outz are a different thing though. I think singing those songs, and a lot of MTH/Mott's music suits his voice better than his Leps screech) but I love hearing his show on Planet Rock. He plays a lot of the bands you say he's into above, and...

    Liverpool Thread | 2025/26

A relative said exactly the same thing to me yesterday. We had two cousins aged 10 and 11 killed, and their mum crippled after a speeding (and pissed) driver mowed them down actually on a zebra crossing. Zero sympathy for speeding twats.

    Saturday 13th July 1985 - Live Aid

Yes, dated and of it's time naturally. Can't imagine that today's 'stars' being involved in similar would fare better being watched 40 years from now ... in fact I would bet they would look and sound considerably worse.

    Advice for first Etihad match

I disagree. This is exactly who they are aimed at. It would be a great souvenir for his daughter of her first time seeing the Blues. Just put it straight into a bag though.

Chris Squire RIP 10 years on

Another I greatly admire. His runs were amazing, but The Who as a whole never clicked with me. I did enjoy seeing them with Moon too at Belle Vue in 1975. I was 15, and our music teacher got me and mates tickets. Top teacher he was.
