CL League Phase Draw 2025/26 | Fixtures (pg 32)

But we will have a home game against a pot 4 side and the club will have to price it differently if it's Kairat or Paphos compared to Galatasaray or Monaco.

CL League Phase Draw 2025/26 | Fixtures (pg 32)

Cyprus could be popular but I don't think the previous trip to Cyprus against Omonia Nicosia sold out. I think the difficulty and expense of getting to the other two will keep demand around the level of supply.

CL League Phase Draw 2025/26 | Fixtures (pg 32)

Paphos (Cyprus), Bodø (Norway), and Kairat (Kazakhstan) qualified tonight. Three very different trips there. Decent away options as a fan, but if we got them at home it would be a bit shit. City would have to price it well.

CL League Phase Draw 2025/26 | Fixtures (pg 32)

It is avoidable in this instance. It's not so much the total number of teams that qualify, more if there was more than three in any one pot. If any of Arsenal/Spurs/Newcastle had also been in Pot 1 as well, it would have been unavoidable. It just means the other 6 pot 1 teams will play an...

CL League Phase Draw 2025/26 | Fixtures (pg 32)

It's feasible but not pre-determined to be a Pot 1 side. Just as much chance of Pot 4. It also means this is a possibility for Arsenal though.

    Club World Cup

If it's every two years then the qualification rules would change. Strongly suspect they'll amend the qualification rules anyway. No way Auckland - a semi professional side will play again, Ulsan v Mamelodi Sundowns will not be allowed to happen again, and that was the last time an Austrian...

Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

Doesn't seem like a good fit for our style but probably the best shot stopper around. Doesn't seem like a priority position. What must Trafford be thinking...

    Rodrygo

Although an upgrade on Savino it doesn't seem to address the issues we face in my opinion. Biggest issues for me in our squad is midfield and right back. Would like to see us pursue Wharton ahead of this deal.

    Other teams’ new kits

I think the talking point on their kit launch this year is surely this fellas leg tattoo....

    Uwe Rosler

He was signed by Malmö, who theoretically we could play in Champions League, although they have to get past Copenhagen and one more round after to qualify for the league stage. Uwe himself was managing Aarhus in Denmark but was sacked at the end of last season and doesn't currently have another...

City extend their partnership with Puma to 2034/2035

Most of the deals negotiated recently have either stagnated or decreased in value. Juve the only other "big" deal done this year and theirs went down in value on an annual basis.

    City’s New Kits

More likely to do with trademark issues i.e. we wouldn't have one so wouldn't be able to stop knockoffs.

City extend their partnership with Puma to 2034/2035

Fantastic deal if those figures are true. I do wonder if that is for CFG rather than us specifically but it's good regardless. Most of these kit manufacturer deals are stagnant or reducing of late - I think Juve is a good example, so a near 50% increase is remarkable. One word of caution though...

I'd consider a swap for another date

Called it. Wife was already looking at flights but remembered it clashes with Oasis in Edinburgh unfortunately.

Tragic news. Thoughts are with his family, what a tremendous loss.

    Right back options

That seems incredible value for Dumfries but he's virtually a right winger, often Inter's most advanced player. Not sure our issue of being easily countered would be helped. I'd rather a right back that defends first and foremost, but at that value you couldn't argue.
