Burnley (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

This is s great post. I love how you used the parallel aspect of anal to highlight the result. 99% of people wouldnt have come up with that. Perhaps even 99.9%. I also feel like your choice of font is exceptional in its default. Five great words plus a pair of full stops is utter genius. And to...

Burnley (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think the thing in midfield is to play Gonzalez and Rodri behind Doku. Instead of playing Rodri behind Reijnders and Foden. Both good players but imo not as threatening as Doku would be by himself. Just my opinion.

Hopefully this new Doku is here to stay. Only thing is that I think he'd be even better if he played more centrally with an attacking LB out wide.

Loved Gonzalez today. Another player that needs gametime to build confidence.

How anyone can say that Nunes is a weak link is beyond me. If he is then so are half the squad. A fine player imo as seen today again.

Match Thread | Manchester City vs. Burnley (27/09/25)

Doku, Nunes and Gonzalez have been great today. The more they play the more consistent they will be.

I was enjoying it for a while but then it felt like it turned into more Israeli propaganda so I gave it up.

    TV Series

There was only need for the usual alien and the eye guy. The others were pointless imo. They only led to ridiculous stories imo and diluted the plot imo.

    Less aliens for a start.

    TV Series

I liked lots of Alien Earth but thought a lot was very very lazy story telling. It's a pity that it couldn't be proper solid. It wouldn't have taken that much.

    Kalvin Phillips

In the very few minutes he had he looked awful again. He should have been sent anywhere to just not have to think of him. It's just a distraction for the coaches.

    January 2026 Window

The ones to replace IMO are the ones you'd get most abuse suggesting but... Kovacic (I presume that once back he will be beyond rusty) Savinho (his spark may be gone and we need a real threat now) Bernardo (too old gor a wing although OK if kept for CM exclusively) Lewis (loan - never ever a RB...

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2025/26

I really like Nunes. I think Khusonov is a better RB though. I'd start Nunes as RW as much as possible. I think he could be awesome there. But Pep prefers Bernardo or Foden. I prefer both of them more centrally.

    Save Our Ruben Interim

3-3 v Chelsea Surely a plucky own goal, a traditional controversial penalty and verifiably insane VAR decision isn't too much to expect for a good old red history club in need.

Napoli (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

I think it's an example of where stats are misleading. Unless there're a stat for oops mispasses per 90 or average time taken not passing while practically stationary. If I remember right Dias passed to a Napoli player at least 3 times last night. He's still a very good CB who is good at...

    Arsenal (A) - Sun 21st Sept, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I think it's possibly as attacking as any lineup so far. Potentially too soft in the center so less Mourinho and more Keeginho.

    Arsenal (A) - Sun 21st Sept, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Not for this game obviosly but at some stage I'd like to see... ........................Donnar....................... Khusonov Stones Gvardiol O'Reilly .........................Rodri........................ Nunes ......Foden Doku .......AitNouri ......................Haaland.....................

    3 | Ruben Dias - 2025/26

Poor passing v Napoli. A good few astray plus his usual dithering that slows our attack. Imo he should just do the simple passes and let others try the decisive passing in midfield. Nothing wrong with playing to your strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully he'll improve on that over more...

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2025/26

100% Bernardo has improved over the past few games but for me should be more central with Nunes offering width and speed. Khusonov at RB is a revelation. (Same with ORielly at LB imo who allows for AitNouri to be tried left wing when fit).
