63 | Divine Mukasa - 2025/26

I liked what i saw, keep him around the first team, could potentially save us a fortune in the transfer market.

Hes not actually a striker though is he so was playing out of position? Hes a number 10 isnt he? Really excited by him, he looked tasty and physical already which the likes of foden/mcatee/palmer werent when they broke through. Hopefully get to see more of him throughout the season.

No need to over hype him just yet... But he does tick a lot of the right boxes.

Smart, two-footed, physically capable, etc, etc.

We're starting to get bigger lads come through who can also play the City way. Not essential (look at Phil) but unless you're elite you need to cope with the increasingly physical demands of top flight football.

Mukasa has a bright future.
Yes, Mukasa and the Heskey brothers are all physical specimens and technically good too. Floyd and Tyrone Samba are the same. My favourite, Mfuni, is very capable physically, and technically superb.

As long as they avoid unlucky injuries, bad timing, etc. all of those mentioned will have good careers.

Floyd Samba and Mfuni are both superb prospects.

I like what I'm seeing from Reigan Heskey at the moment. Has a bit of Rafael Leao about him - a big, fast, ball carrying winger who can finish, with plenty of skill too.

Another point. They all seem to have the right mentality for rising to the challenge.

Yes I like Reigan too. Almost a hybrid winger/striker.
My only reservation is he comes inside slightly too much for me.
Because he's quick and athletic it works at that level but might run into traffic playing for City and need to go around the outside
I think he's good enough to learn though.

Just momentarily, I misread that last line as "My Mum is ..."

Thing is we need 8 homegrown players and we seem to be quoted insane prices for players that can be expensive misses like Kalvin.

So it's best we fill those 8 slots with academy players which actually does 2 things.. save us money for better foreign players and show there's an actual pathway into the team for the academy kids.

Also of the homegrown bunch.. a few are leaving soon so there will be openings.

Foden (stays)
Nico O'Reilly (stays)
Rico (stays)
Trafford (stays)
Bobb ???
Betinelli ???
Kalvin ???
Ake (leaving soonish)
Stones (leaving soonish)

He's going to be around the first team all season. Think he gets some decent opportunities for playing time. Kinda like Nico, he might end up saving us some serious cash in the market.

Don’t need them in fact we’ve never had 8, this year is the most we’ve ever had.

He doesn't need a loan move, he can stay and be part of the first team he is good enough for it
I strongly disagree. Nothing beats actually playing football. He’s outgrown the academy. We’ve got Foden and Cherki. He should go to a team that will start him week in week out and sharpen his skills. He’s not gonna get more than 1000 mins this entire season. What good is that gonna do him ?

He does need a loan move.
If Reis, Bah, Nypan and Echevrri are back next season, there won't be too many opportunities with the first team.
He needs to go out and get regular football gor at least a season. He is very young.

He primarily plays as a #9 so he would be a back up to halaand, therefore he should stay. He will get plenty of game time
