    Morgan Gibbs-White

At the right price this would be an excellent addition. I’ve come round to the idea a lot. I was quite disappointed when Spurs were linked at £60M. Makes it a good deal.

Jack Grealish | Set to join Everton on season-long loan

    Napoli bound. I reckon.

    Liverpool Thread | 2025/26

Would be quite pleased to see them spill that kind of money on this lad given his goal scoring record to date. Odd. Infinitely more comfortable for us than them getting Isak.. Hopefully puts an end to that talk!

    James Trafford

If Trafford is coming as No.2 and willing to fight for No.1 spot then this is a great signing for the squad given the HG issues. He’d be a top quality No.2 already and still so young. I can’t say whether he is or isn’t ready to be No.1 but I’d be surprised if we threw that much caution to the...

    The Labour Government

How would a successful business try and get out of it? Once the country isn’t run by people with a background in politics and rather people with some level of business acumen we might stand a chance. If 1% of your customer base generated 30% of your income (that’s just income tax, but they’ll...

Will we win the league this season?

Injury free season and we win it. We had an AWFUL season last year and still didn’t land too far behind. The reality is we are probably the only team capable of finding the consistency to hit 90+ points. I would still like a RB. The Nunes debate has been done to death but for me he’s good for...

    Kyle Walker joins Burnley (pg5)

What a fantastic 8 years at the club and an amazing PL right-back. Prime Walker would still comfortably be the best RB in the league today, and it’s no coincidence that we’ve been leaky at the back since he dropped in form. Wish him all the best at Burnley!

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

He’s been our most entertaining player for the tournament, and despite not being the finished article he’s 10x the threat that Savinho is.

    Tino Livramento

I suspect dropping out of the CWC earlier than we perhaps might have will impact our appetite to overpay and get this done, which is a shame because we desperately need an actual RB.

Al Hilal (N) | CWC | Post Match Thread

They deserved it. We are a lot more creative than we looked last year but if you look like you’re going to concede every time a team attacks against you then you’ll struggle. Off the field a massive missed opportunity to put some funds into the pot. Likely limits our flexibility in the market...

    47 | Phil Foden - 2025/26

I think which Foden shows up this year could have a massive bearing on our season. The additions plus Foden & Rodri for 23/24 would be something else.

Club World Cup - Summer 2025

City prize money so far then: $38.2m participation bonus based on UEFA coefficient $2m for 1 win in group stage Total $40.2m. Keep it coming.

Club World Cup - Summer 2025

The prize money in this is serious isn’t it. I had no idea. I just read it’s worth about $125m to the winner because of the bonuses of winning games and progressing each round. No wonder there was such a transfer push!

    Right back options

I’d like to see an Ait Nouri, Gvardiol, Dias & Khusanov back 4. I just think he has all of the attributes to do well there defensively and with Ait Nouri on the other side likely to be more adventurous moving forwards a more defensive right side setup could work well.
  15. B

    Rayan Aït-Nouri

I rate this signing a lot. He’ll be the best left back we’ve had in a long time. It also means Pep does actually see Gvardiol as a CB which is good news - you can never be sure.

    It's Quiet the £250m return

Livramento right from the off just feels to me like a transfer that won’t get over the line. Newcastle paid £40m for him (on the back of an ACL injury), he’s improved, still only 22, still got 3 years left & they’ve just got into the CL. Everything about it sounds difficult to get done.

    Rayan Aït-Nouri

For the right price I’d like this.

    It's Quiet the £250m return

Current available evidence says that most players don’t hit their peak at 22. Salah was still at Chelsea at 22yo. Closer to home, Marmoush was at Stuttgart on loan scoring 3 goals in 21 apps. You could find a million examples. Doku has the hard bit grasped. He can take players on for fun. If he...

    It's Quiet the £250m return

People forget football is a squad game. Doku is a handful for plenty of fullbacks and has proved effective at coming on and changing games. He’s only 22 years old. Do I think he’s ready to be starting every week if we want to be the best team in Europe? No. Would I want him in my 25 man squad...
