I saw this in Mary D's last night, We oretty much got all the names of the former academy graduates, but this one eluded us all!? (Lad in the centre) It's doing my head in as I recognise his face, but I can't remember his name!

Best card for commuting to work

There's a 38 bus that runs every 10 mins, that goes from Salford Crescent to Salford RD (a 3 min walk from the workplace), the only problem is the trains connecting from mine to Salford would mean being dependant on the 6:05 train to Piccadilly from heald green..... that's if I want to get to...

Best card for commuting to work

The times are pretty BS to be honest!! There's a train that goes from Heald Green to Bolton, I'd have to leave heald green 6am every day, but I'd get to the place 7:30 everyday, and the work hours are 8:30-4:30 or 9-5... The 8:30-4:30 hours would best suit me just for travel wise...

Best card for commuting to work

If it's working for one of Europe's elite businesses in manufacturing then commuting hours are something I can bypass... the job isn't guaranteed but if I do get the job I'm looking at learning to drive anyway. So even if it's commuting for 4-5 months then so be it.

Best card for commuting to work

That's one of the things I can hope for! I normally don't like to rely on other people, but given the circumstances it's the best I can hope for. As for the bike, that's actually a good idea! It's only a 20 min cycle from Bolton station! I'll look into that prospect! I know some trains you can...

Best card for commuting to work

Commuting doesn't bother me too much! Plus an easier route would be straight from mine to Bolton via train, then a bus from Bolton to the job, only problem is I'd turn up an hour early for work. It's not set in stone that I'll get the job, but it's one of the top companies in the industry I...

Best card for commuting to work

1hr 30mins fella. If I get the job, then the offer is too good to turn down, and the starting wage is £12.60 an hour increasing to £14.03 after 13 weeks, the prospects are great as well. As a career move it's worth the hassel of public transport, well until I pass my driving lessons anyway.

Best card for commuting to work

So I'm kinda pre-empting this here, but I'm currently looking for a new job, and I'm currently waiting to hear back regarding a job interview, so nothing is set in stone. Only problem is that it's in Bolton, and requires 3 train journeys, and a bus, it's not an issue as it's a train from Heald...

    Blown home cinema speakers!!

Got 1 B&W speaker left.... had the speakers for about 20 years (since I was a kid anyway) my dad replaced the rear speakers with mission speakers after the rear speakers blew, and I know what you mean about the sound imbalance, the rear sound isn't half as good as what the front sound was. I'm...

    Blown home cinema speakers!!

We've had a 5.1 surround setup fpr some years now, and have had Bowers & Wilkins speakers but unfortunately the left and centre speaker have recently blown!! Looking at a replacement (they don't do our model anymore) the cheapest I could find was £350 for the 686 s2 600 series (to replace the...
