Post Match Thread: City 2-0 Watford

Couldn't agree more. I thought we'd bought a dud. He looked completely ineffectual last season. This season he's played like a man possessed. Inspiring performance today - well done Bacary - keep it up. Also, I am so pleased for Mangala that he's been given a chance. Yes, he had some bad moments...

    De Bruyne?

Don't know what you're upset about mate. Simply pointed out they're not the same aeroplane. I'm as excited as anyone that he's coming - and I'm tracking the flight like everybody else

    De Bruyne?

Don't want to be a killjoy, but this is not the same aircraft he's boarding in the other photo. The flash on the side is blue over white over red on that one, not red over white over blue. But who knows when these pics were taken. I'm sure he's on his way :)

Everton vs City - Post Match Thread

3 games on the trot so it's not just luck. I can't believe how much our 2 "reserve" full backs have improved compared to last season. I thought they were simply making up the numbers last year (& not very well) but Sagna & Kolarov have both been wonderful in the 3 games this season & I feel duty...

    Otamendi transfer confirmed

Yes OK - that makes sense

    Otamendi transfer confirmed

Does anyone actually know how much City have paid for Otamendi? The BBC headline is £32m though in the report it states an initial £28.5m & we're left to guess about the rest. SSN "understand" it's £33m. The Guardian are stating £34m. I ask because Chelsea have are reported as having signed...

    De Bruyne?

Not obvious to me - I assumed Delilah (sorry)

    Otamendi

Very clever I think. There's another defender in covering one side in front of him & by standing on his hands, it makes him the same height as if he was upright with his arms in the air. Clearly with arms raised if the ball hits them it's a penalty, but if he's standing on his hands before the...

Post match thread - City v Chelsea

I agree that the back 4 were ALL good today - which surprised me to be honest. I don't remember watching a game when I thought that every single City player was excellent. I disagree with you say about Nasri, however. When he was brought on, City were trying to keep the ball & maintain control...

    Player Topic: Eliaquim Mangala (2015/16)

What a game he had today. Bullied Costa, won everything in the air, pace to burn, covering was fantastic & positionally sound. I just wish he'd scored from Kolarov's cross. I strongly agree with those who think he's now adapting to the PL and it would be inept to send him on loan. Vinny played...

    Diego Godin

Love the Bing translation of this: "After Godin pumpkins, that Valencia is at emales, sinceI see the City arriving with their money to take Otamendi."

Our glaring weakness at LB, will it be fixed?

Domestically, it wasn't good enough last year. 2 seasons ago, we were incredibly lucky to have the best RB in the PL. Zabba was not only a great defender (won the most number of tackles if memory serves) but was also a brilliant addition to our attack with his great runs both down the wing &...

    Media bias against City

At 6pm on Sky Sports News, their headline was "a full strength Manchester City team were 4-0 down at half time". That follows on from "after their 4-1 thrashing by Real Madrid, Manchester City beat Vietnam". Now city were poor today, but really, this is appallingly skewed journalism.
