That was the least threatening corner we’ve ever done

Wait, do people use pseudonyms here? I, Leonard Eithblue, am shocked and appalled at you all.

Not that’s he’s doing badly but I can’t really work out where Nunes is playing today

Celtic and Rangers looking into joining the WSL.

God I hope not. I’ve been to Hibs and Hearts women’s games against both the Old Firm and they’ve all still attracted Neanderthals singing about the ‘RA or never surrendering, throwing fireworks and trying to kick off with kids and families inside and out.

    That is genuinely bad defending.

    Media discussion - 2024/25

No Salford fans were watching on the telly. So that’s 3.7m fans each for United and Arsenal watching their game and 3.2m for ours. Sounds alright.

    Seat Counters - 2024/25

No, no, according to the rules set down by a load of Irish, West Country and Australian United and Liverpool fans that have never been near a stadium in their lives you measure attendances by seats not filled.

Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

Wembley. Missed our flight back to Edinburgh too, so slept at Luton airport

Match Thread | Aston Villa vs. Man City (21/12/24)

There was barely a whimper on here when we let Rogers go. And 70+ teams above Lincoln passed on him when he went. He’s turned out well, but it was hardly a surprise he didn’t break through, he didn’t do enough in his loans or in training here to give a hint he’d come good.

If Rogers was showing anything like the potential to turn out like this then he wouldn’t have gone to Lincoln City. This isn’t a Cole Palmer job with clubs lining up to take him on. The scouting teams of 70+ clubs between us and Lincoln passed on him too. There was no outcry whatsoever on here...

To be fair, when he was coming through we had Rodri, Fernandinho, Silva x2, DeBruyne, Gundogan and Foden in the way. We couldn’t have kept him hanging about for three years on the off chance he turned out that good. If he was showing that much promise then he wouldn’t have ended up at Lincoln...

I’ll take that £35m we kept knocking back for Silva now

Huge gap between Kovacic running around in front of the back 4 and Haaland. Silva and Foden might as well be sat at home watching a Bond film.

Which 3 City losses have made you most angry with City, and which 3 losses have made you proud of to be a Blue!

Bury at home (1-0) Stockport at home (2-1) Lincoln away (4-1) That should do it for defeats that hacked me off. Nothing this century comes close.

We’re leaving at 6am - but I get to escape the in-laws at least, so, swings & roundabouts. Kids will sleep the whole drive down though.

Wasn’t it Villa last season we started with Stones and Lewis in midfield and it was pretty catastrophic? Gulp.

Present Day Football, Fans and Any Other Stuff You Hate About It!

I wonder if there’s a thing in attention spans too. Without going into the early leavers black hole (but I still don’t believe 25,000 people walking out on Sunday evening had a longer drive home then we did) but I just don’t get leaving early at all. 20/30/40 years ago you’d stay. You’d...

    Aston Villa (A) - Sat 21st Dec, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Good thing it’s the early kick off so if it goes to form we can get on with the weekend without the shadow of impending doom hanging over it.
