    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

He’s going to have to work on his finishing. He makes so many clever runs he’s going to get a lot of chances so he’ll need to start taking them.

    Ex City Youth Players

A load of goals from former academy players in the last week- Palmer, Delap, Rogers and Harwood Bellis had 8 goals between them in the Premier League and then Felix Nmecha grabbed one in the Champions League. Plus of course Foden and McAtee for us last night.

Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think Walker’s pace bails us out of lots of trouble, allows us to pen teams into their own half but it’s hugely frustrating that he’s making so many mistakes leading to goals. He’s a senior member of the squad and obviously well respected by his team mates so it’s not as though as he’s a...

Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

He was slow getting back into position against Arsenal, not entirely his fault but that resulted in the equaliser. The penalty is on Walker today, if he isn’t a yard behind our back 4 Gordon was offside

    Newcastle United (A) - Sat 28th Sept, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I think this is a huge game for us. It’s the first league match after Rodri’s injury, if we drop points the narrative that we struggle without Rodri gets amplified. Doesn’t matter that it’s a tough place to go with or without Rodri. They are scratching around looking for form. They can be...

    Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

The issue with Oliver is that he’s generally afraid to make a controversial decision. He will try not to make a mistake by not making the difficult call. The irony being he then faces huge controversy over non decisions. The first time I remember seeing him is when he bottled a blatant Fulham...

    Arsenal (H) | PL | Post-match Thread

Disappointing afternoon after going 1-0 up and Gundogan inches from making it 2. Until their goal Arsenal were creaking. Still it feels like we’re in Pep’s beta testing phase of the season. Trying to work out the best way of setting us up but If Rodri’s injury is as serious as it looked then...

    Arsenal (H) | PL | Post-match Thread

Felt we missed a trick 2nd half, our wingers should have switched, we should have been pushing hard to get to the byline. The one thing you want to do is try to get behind the block and have balls pulled back. We were constantly playing in front of them and no real pace. It’s hard to stretch a...

    Inter (H) - Wed 18th Sept, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Should be a tough one, they were very good against us in the final. If they had a halfway decent forward instead of Lukaku who knows what may have happened. They seem like a well coached side and will cause us problems. We’re still warming up, we haven’t managed full control of matches this...

    Brentford (H) - Sat 14th Sept, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

So many of our matches against Brentford have been tough niggley affairs and I don’t expect tomorrow to be any different. An early goal would be very useful. We should have enough but we need to control thr game

    Jamal Musiala

I thought that Musiala wants to play with Wirtz, so by tapping up Wirtz, Bayern are more likely to get Musiala to extend.

    West Ham United (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Great performance first half but should have had much more. Second half West Ham really tested us on counters. Lewis, Akanji, Kovacic and DeBruyne really good. Haaland incredible. Nice cameos from Gundogan and Nunes, good to see Nunes get the assist. Haaland is incredible something from another...

    West Ham United (A) - Sat 31st August, 17:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

It should be a tough evening’s football. West Ham under Moyes played counter attacking football and caused havoc on set pieces. Lopetegui has a reputation for defensive football so wouldn’t be surprised if they played a similar game. Assuming Rodri is absent means we will really have to be...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

We don’t play the same way now as we did in 2020-22, for the last 2 seasons we’ve always played with a striker. We’re now playing with fairly aggressive wingers. Having a big centre forward gives us both a target and dummy runner. Take away the target man and we will have to completely change...

    Ben Chilwell

They’re desperate for a left back so wouldn’t be surprised. Why they’d want a permanently injured England international left back to compete with a permanently injured England international left back is beyond me. More likely to be compete for space in the physio room.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

He would feature a lot with us. Brighton have more strikers than we do so he would arguably get more game time with us. Plus the chance to play under Pep and play some champions league games.

    Alvarez replacement thread

Going to be even more frustrating if we have natural wingers with no centre forward if Erling isn’t playing. We definitely could do with a striker, if Erling isn’t playing we have to change our entire system.

    Matheus Nunes

Nunes is talented but not sure where he fits with us. He’s a good dribbler, receives the ball well, takes up good positions and makes good runs, however his passing is not good enough so far, he’s not great defensively and a poor finisher. I think he does some of things that Gundogan can do...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

He’s not a great goal scorer but a decent link player. If he signed he would play a lot, we have one other striker who has had to rest regularly. Alvarez played a lot of football as a centre forward last season even allowing for the majority of his game time was a KDB stand in.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

That’s interesting, in the mean time Brighton have spent a fortune on players
