Will we win the league this season? No

We looked really good for a few weeks this season, starting from the Carabao Cup final. A settled team for that period probably no coincidence. But that was about it. So, considering that, it's been an amazing season, with us punching above our weight to stay in it so long. 2 trophies is a...

I only responded to your following quotes - not anything else: Vincent managed Burnley - to relegation. Vinnie did. You didn't direct your original question to me - I was just correcting your oversight, as above. But I will say one thing - if Erl had been playing for them last night, he'd...

A relegated Burnley lost their manager to Bayern - keep up!

They can just watch the period in his first season, before the WC break. Pure instinct, learning a new team and new league. Scoring for fun until we 'learned how to use him properly' - figure that one out.

Yeah - Erling would just hate playing in a team that's coached to break at pace, wouldn't he? I lost count of the times that we could have broken - then stopped, allowing them to regroup. Getting on for 2 years of that, now.

I don't want Sav anywhere near the team, but tonight nobody was trying to inject pace more than he was. Rodders should have gone off, not Bernie.

... second only to having City at home, perhaps?

Always comes across as no more than a soundbyte, that one - it counts some games twice. I doubt whether City - or any team, come to that - has ever played 6 games in any 14-day period, which is what that suggests.

I didn't like him as a player, but as a co-commentator I've always found him pretty good. Especially last season, when a few others were showing their previously-concealed true colours.

Apologies, mods (staying off-topic) - but I need to confess something related to this: Last night I had the filthiest dream about Sarah Ferguson!?! We've watched 'The Lady' over the past two nights and I blame them for casting Natalie Dormer as the Duchess of York. Sadly, my dream used the...

Personally, I'd be a hypocrite to moan about that - I threw all my non-winners medals away, starting with my first at about 9 years old. Tbh, when posters on here include finishing 2nd as one of this season's achievements, I cringe. This season has easily surpassed any hopes I had for it, but...

I find Joe Hart and Michael Brown to be the two ex-city I like best - as co-commentators, that is, because I never listen to pre- or post-match waffle*. I only un-muted yesterday because I thought they'd be talking about what was happening on screen, but it was just more inane ramblings instead...

Yes, but you realise that plenty of players have their Christian names on their shirts? I think that Jordi Cruyff was the first, to avoid massively unfavourable comparison with his dad. Enzo Fernandez. No big deal - I was just being flippant.

Actually, I did think that we got away with something - but it wasn't any of the penalty decisions anybody has discussed. It also happens to be one of those things that all keepers do on occasion but for which they're never penalised. I haven't watched the game back yet, but early in the first...

Micah Richards with his typically incisive question for Sturridge - "how did you feel when you lifted it, though?" Can't see Richards' face, but I bet that it's that stupid pained expression he affects, as though the answer really matters to anybody
