AFC Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Wow its a username do you think bringing marmoush up hurts me? He has had more than a bad spell, he has been awful, look at his air shot towards the end of the game, look at his effort and attitude while on the pitch, and if he has health issues they should be dealt with, or he should be nowhere near the pitch
Your user name gives me the idea you are a Marmoush fanboy..he's fucking awful..Foden put in more effort than your poster boy did..in fact if I hadn't seen him come on I wouldn't have known he was on.
Phil will still be here when Marmoush has been sold.

But pacey, energetic football is unsustainable when you play in the Champions League and go deep in both cups. That was Bournemouth's 39th game this season, compared to City's 59th.
A good point. The challenge of competing on all fronts in England is underestimated and another reason that what we’ve achieved over the last decade is astonishing. Arteta has realised that pragmatism is needed to win - it’s dull, but I understand why.

be interesting to see if a new manager can get more out of the space for Haaland and possibly change restore his game
They can just watch the period in his first season, before the WC break. Pure instinct, learning a new team and new league.

Scoring for fun until we 'learned how to use him properly' - figure that one out.

Two cups. But we have been shit most of the season. The fact we were half in a title race considering how inconsistent we have been and the amount of points we have dropped from winning positions should be something to build on next season.

I'm not sure if Maresca is the right person but new ideas may not be a bad thing.

Thankfully their fans are in London and there are hardly any of them in Manchester.

Just avoid ATV and social media for a week.
Media black out , nothing more nauseating than a Goon on acid , even the Dippers come a close 2nd.

Still waiting for a reason why he has the quality to manage MCFC , we are now in the same bracket as Bayern , PSG ,Real , Barca etc.,would he get a job at any of those clubs ? would he f*ck.
A relegated Burnley lost their manager to Bayern - keep up!

In the scheme of things, 1-1 away at the PL's in-form side is not a bad result. The league was lost elsewhere. We've shown decent character at times this season, but that midfield needs sorting out. Too many times we've lost the midfield battle this season and ended up exposing the defense and lacking support in attack.

Some absolute bollocks being spouted on here. VAR, referees, blah blah blah.
Simple: we’ve not been good enough over 38 games to win the league.
Arsenal have.
Our squad is good. Nothing more.
It will win a lot of games. As a good squad will.
But it’s not a very good/ great squad like we’ve had previously.
Good enough to win cups
Not good enough to win the league
Bodo, leverkusen, Brighton, Villa , Forrest, united, spurs, West Ham , Newcastle, Sunderland, Chelsea, to name but a few - a good team, nothing more.

Fuck off with a wank attitude.. He's had a bad spell and it seems like he's had health issues... Whats Marmoushs excuse.. Apart from not being fit to lace Phils boots
Not being picked as the number 9 enough to get form together? He’s scored twice recently you know?

Come on, mate, you know that that in fact had nothing whatsoever to do with it. People are making that guy messing around with a bit of banter into some sort of voodoo doll.
We were not the best team in the land, and that's clear. Arsenal were more consistent, and got the job done, by hook or by crook. They were the “best” team, because the top of the table does not lie. Ever. Not over 38 matches. I'm not going to congratulate them on the way they did it, and I hope to God the referees get together and send out a clear message that the behaviour of attacking players on keepers (looking at you Saliba, looking at you, Gabriel, but not only), and defending players on strikers (Haaland was involved in a combination of bear hugs and Mick McManus wrestling matches on every single corner at every single ground for much of the season, you could see he was completely cheesed off with it by the end) will not be tolerated. Yellow card in the first instance, followed by red for recidivists. Shower offending players with them on the first matchday, second if necessary — there'll be outrage, there'll be riots in the streets, maybe, but it will stop it dead in its tracks.
It's not anti this or that club. It's anti-football.
I have had a mare

The shite refereeing has had an impact mate. It has decided games and we didn’t have the quality to get past that (not that we should have to). No qualms with the rest.

if we had been shit for most of the season we would have lost more games than we won and would be in mid-table and no trophies , out of the Champs league and not one player in the Premier league team of the season.
None of the above happened , we have been excellent for the majority of the season but not as good as previous title winning teams , but also a huge improvement on 24/25 , thats the reality

No, when you need to win its an appalling result.

Think it was ultimately a fair result in the game and league position.

There is something bothersome and very strange about this squad. Not going to single out individual players, but there are players in the side that seem rather lacking in courtesy to other teams. We've had great players like De Bruyne, Silva, Toure, Aguero, Kompany etc. come to the club but they never seemed to have a chip on their shoulder and talk down to other opponents.

Perhaps it's because of the digital age and people like the content it produces but there's something not as likeable in this side as previous teams we had, even ones that didn't win as much.
Oh I don’t know… thought we kindly gave them the ball several times

And if we beat Villa, and Arsenal lose to Palace we'll only finish one point behind them .... and that will hurt !

Mind you I think I've had enough of this season now !
