Fixed price contracts are not necessarily all risk but generally based on pre contract drawings and specifications and known ground conditions & any changes or additions are covered by variation orders produced by the architect and paid to the main contractor accordingly in the monthly...

Excuse me bud I’m not trying to score points here but I spent my whole working life specifying and procuring facing bricks from a multitude of British suppliers from ! LBC (London brick co. ) to GISCOl ( Glasgow steel and iron ) through Ibstock , Butterley et al and believe me if there’s salt...

Did you notice that now the scaffold in city square is down you can see the efflorescence on the factory made columns ?? So dry brickwork still effloresces when it gets wet on site . In short there’s nothing you can do if the brick Is prone to efflorescence , just let it happen and then fade...

Agree completely but those were the days of proper tradesmen. In those days brick joints were in the main 5mm , we’d never be able do it on site today , hence the large amounts of prefabricated brick panels (ie the columns either side of city square ) we now see being incorporated in new builds...

Think the cut outs may be to do with the etfe roof brackets that need installation , as the brackets currently stop a the end of the “ claw” extension . Also there’s an access bridge over the roof for maintenance access ( the 2 mystery small platforms are the ends I assume ??)

Looking at previous cgi’s there appears to be a latticework frame that is to be fitted for support to the “tifo” banners . In my mind these and the overhanging section of the roofwalk can only be craned in from pitchside ?? Maybe I’ll be proved completely wrong ??
