He won't care. He took on JD Vance as his running mate. Have you read what Vance said about him?

    Lost my mum today.

That's sad to hear. My condolences to you and your family. My mum passed on 15 September this year, a day before my birthday. She was only 71. Born in Ardwick with nine siblings in a two-up, two down, lived in poverty for several years and was serially abused by her father. Suffered a cranial...

    Bands In Small Venues

Thinking about it, not many although I am not sure what counts as a small venue. Most of the bands I like will not be regarded as 'famous'. Pixies (supporting Throwing Muses) at Leeds Town and Country Club (1990ish) Cranberries - not a fan (supporting Belly) at Leeds Irish Centre (1993?) Belle...

    United Thread | 2024/25

The fee will be a problem if the wages are regarded as high. I suspect Rashford, whilst not an especially good player, is better than what we have seen at United. I think the same could be said about a few United players.

    Chelsea Thread | 2024/25

Chelsea have an overpaid player they most probably want to cut loose at lowest cost possible. The player then gets caught with a dodgy sample. Very convenient. Mutu 2.0

I'd rather every current player leave before Pep. I have an unwavering faith in him. He certainly has enough credit accumulated for every Blue to feel the same way. He will turn it around. I was with an Arsenal mate for a beer last night. He said Pep was losing it and Arteta was much calmer...

How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Not sure of you are being serious / I am being Clarkied.... It could be that scientific research and innovation in this country has been badly damaged by leaving the EU. When in the EU, we received 20% of the total EU grants available in these areas.

I don't know, Blue. There will be things that go on that we don't know about.

Songs you hate with every fibre of your being.

Everything by Coldplay. I'd rather listen to 10-15 repeats of 'Shaddapa ya face' by Joe Dolce than listen to a Coldplay album.

99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

I am no comms professional but i am not sure that's necessarily true. As a fan I would want them to put these people in their place but sometimes it is best not to have difficult relations with the press. I would also suggest that the comms team have done a fair amount re these issues but was...

Indeed. It's not a great statement to make. You would expect better from a comms professional.

Australia passes social media ban for under 16s

Fair point mentioning parental failure but I do think it is a parental responsibility. Kids will find harmful stuff if they look for it. It will be strange that kids could access porn sites but not Snapchat.

Australia passes social media ban for under 16s

Whilst I appreciate that there are many ills for which social media is partly or fully responsible, it should be left for parents to manage the who, what, why, where and when in respect of their children and social media. I feel for young people. The generation who has effed up the world for...

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

First word that came to my mind was 'disingenuous'.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Making a decision before the Tribunal makes their recommendations.... Non collaborative, adversarial and arrogant. The sooner the leadership, and maybe the organisation, is brought down, the better.
