I genuinely thought he was dead!

City Treble documentary | Club sell rights to Netflix for seven figure sum | To be aired in April (p5)

I’ve watched the first 5 episodes now and really enjoyed it. But one thing strikes me - I’m glad I’ve got the subtitles on because I can barely understand a word Pep says, especially when he’s doing his intense half time talk, speaking really quickly. I’m thinking to myself, surely some of these...

Trouble in the North Stand second tier vs United

Yeah - it’s usually just the knuckle draggers with fragile egos who need to prove how hard they are. It’s a bit pathetic really. Obviously the guy’s a fool for thinking he could celebrate in the home end but I doubt it warranted getting battered. Reminds me of the Liverpool match earlier in the...

Queues outside M1 turnstiles and over the top security

Good point. My main objection is that, while I do find the pat downs etc over the top - if you’re going to have these kind of security checks then you need to make sure you have the right processes and sufficient staffing in place to manage the number of people in a reasonable time. But if...

Queues outside M1 turnstiles and over the top security

Is it me or are the queues at the M1 turnstiles (for South Stand top tier) getting worse? It’s always been bad here as the huge number of fans on the top tier have to be funnelled through a handful of turnstiles but it seems to have got even worse recently. Partly I think this is down to over...

    Atmosphere - 2023/24

Keep up - it’s the Strictly final mate. Gotta make sure we’re back in time to see Ellie’s pasodoble!

Free Treble winners commemorative coin Seasoncard holders

Agree. I mean it’s a nice gesture and everything but it just looks a bit….well, shit really. It should have the club badge or city of Manchester crest, instead we get this “wacky” font that looks dead tacky. It looks like something from my kid’s Beano comic

David Conn book - Richer Than God: Manchester City.....

I think you're referring to his Guardian colleague (and boyhod pal) Simon Hattenstone.

Feel sorry for lads that didn't got medal

Do Platt and Kiddo (or any of the other coaches for that matter) get a medal? To be honest I'd much rather see these two with a medal than someone like Hargreaves (no offence to him) or some of the other fringe players. Their reaction on Sunday was brilliant, clearly it means the world to them...

OK then, who did you vote for?

Those who have argued that Labour have bankrupted the country seem to have conveniently forgotten that prior to the recession the Tories were committed to matching Labour's spending plans. Anyone that thinks that the economy wouldn't have suffered under a Conservative government is living in a...

FAO SWPs Back Strikes are on

There's so much i'll informed drivel about the 'cushy' public sector on this thread that i barely no where to begin. "Gold plated" pensions for instance. Did you know the average pension for civil servants outside of the top whitehall positions is £4,200. Book me a retirement villa in the...

Manchester City fan gets Man United badge tattooed on chest

That's the Garricks head in Flixton. What an absolute toilet. These two look pretty typical of the knuckle draggers you get in there.

    March for the Alternative-26th March

What's tragic is that you feel the need to hurl insults at people who are rightly worried about the prospect of losing their jobs or having their pay cut.

Anyone want us to go out of the Europa League on Thursday?

Christ no! I'm at a wedding on the day of the Saturday semi final. The only way i'll get to go is if we get the Sunday slot on account of us still being in the europa league.

    March for the Alternative-26th March

Just thought i'd revive this thread and encourage anyone who can to make the effort to get to the protest on the 26th. I'll be there with hopefully a large contingent of PCS members. It's so important that this march is well attended and that we show this Con-Dem government that we wont stand...

    The pacific

Stick with it mate. I've seen the whole series and its pretty good. Not as good as Band of Brothers, granted, but that's setting the bar very high - fantastic series. I think the main difference is that in BoB the viewer followed one unit for the whole series, from D-Day to the end of the war...

    mancunian born

I was born in Wythenshawe so can claim to be 100% Manc. However I now live virtually opposite Trafford General (Park Hospital). You're right, Urmston, Davyhulme and Flixton (and Stretford for that matter) have never been part of the City of Manchester. Prior to the local government changes Park...

    Glastonbury

Ruddy bloody good. I've got his last album but wouldn't say I was a huge fan. Didn't fancy any of the other headliners so wandered over to the John Peel stage. Really got the crowd going. Even at the back where I was, everyone was jumping. Immaculate Pasta - as long as you ring up the day...

    The National------Glastonbury

Saw these lot on the other stage on Saturday. I hadn't heard much of them before but enjoyed their set. I did find the singer's manic screaming into the microphone a bit much though. Like a previous poster said, it came across as a bit contrived.
