    Russian invasion of Ukraine

A heady combination when combined with foetal alcohol syndrome. Fearsome stuff.

    Callum Doyle

Suspect they just wanted to make sure he played regularly. A young defender on loan to a PL club is very unpredictable, he would have to be significantly better than what they already had, otherwise clubs will prioritise they player that actually is contracted to them.

    Tijjani Reijnders

Noticed him in the Euros and thought he looked good. Actually reminded me of...Nunes. In the way that he aggressively exploited space in front of him and covered the ground quickly. Who by the way will do very well in Italian football when he eventually goes on loan to Juventus. Haven't seen...

Nine years and four months for 3 lives

I can see both sides of this. Genuinely who would benefit from him spending 20 years in prison instead? On the other hand, 3 lives in exchange for a few years in jail....doesn't seem fair.

    Players who might improve us

Foden, Palmer and Bobb behind Haaland, what could have been... Still, he's gone and that's that, I can't see us buying him back pretty much under any circumstances. What Chelsea would ask for I'm sure we wouldn't pay.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2024/25

Feel bad for him to be honest. I don't think he's good enough really, but had played pretty well until that point. Was obviously devastated.

United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Apart from one guy wanting to literally kill Nunes it's been pretty pretty chill.

United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Nah, it's the execution that's the issue. You can see it watching on TV. Players in the wrong place, getting each others way, not making the little movements into space etc. Classic collective loss of confidence and playing with fear. Combined with the injuries and ageing key players, it's a...

Match Thread | Man City vs. Man United (15/12/24)

    I predict absolute chaos.

    87 | James McAtee - 2024/25

I'm pretty sure the attacking woes stem from the defensive frailty. Fear of losing the ball and being counter-attacked. Losing the ball anywhere on the pitch can lead to conceding a goal right now. McAtee is skillfull, but prone to losing the ball. He'd also not very quick like Doku, Savinho or...

    87 | James McAtee - 2024/25

I think that would be a legitimate question if he was a defender or defensive midfielder.

    87 | James McAtee - 2024/25

I know it's tempting to take players not in the team and put them on a pedestal, but having seen him a fair amount, I'm very sure that McAtee isn't the answer to our current issues. He genuinely talented, but doesn't offer anything that we don't already have in the team. Personally I reckon...

Support band you saw that blew away the headliner

Been to a few where the sound quality for the support has been atrocious, but then on point for the main act. I know absolutely nothing about audio set-up etc, but the cynic in me wonders if its deliberate to make sure this exact thing doesn't happen...

Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Pretty grim just now. KDB aside we seem afraid to take any risk with the passing in fear of getting counter attacked. The problem is they're right to be afraid of getting counter-attacked, because we can't defend them. The result is stale possession with frailty at the back.

Syria | Assad flees to Moscow as rebels capture Damascus

I hope my Syrian falafel guy stays.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

I think everyone would have liked to see him play again, but from the outside we don't know what kind of condition he (or anyone) is in. Maybe he wasn't capable of starting the game without risking injury.

    Players who might improve us

He played very well against us earlier in the season.

Been a brilliant player for us, but it's time.

    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

Funny old game isn't it. I think he's absolute quality, and will have a long and successful career, even if he's had a bit of a tough time lately in a struggling team. Guy above reckons he wouldn't get a game in the Championship. I hope I'm right.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2024/25

Why's he getting slagged off in this thread when he's barely kicked a ball for a month? Coincidentally the period within which our form has dropped off a cliff. I'm obviously not claiming it's down to him being out, but he definitely worries opposition defences.
