City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Abramovich propped up the club to the tune of 900k per week during his ownership, in the last year of his tenure a commercial loan on that 1.5b would have seen the Club have to account for around 1.2 m, no one seemingly gave two fucks.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

It's clear these rules are designed to fuck us over, why would the Rags for example vote through 0% shareholder loans when they have been paying g commercial rates since the Glazers landed?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Those were the days when you got quarter of the odds for a place as well, not the stingy one fifth the odds of today.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Oi, I'm not slow! I did some odds compiling when I worked at the William Hill Regional Office in Stockport, it was more local events, like non league football or greyhound races and the bets would be restricted to regular punters and for a maximum liability of around £20 (it was over 40 years...

    RIP John Prescott

Will she fuck get platitudes, she'll be remembered as a Deputy Leader who wasn't very bright.

And yet we still have on here "The Liverpool thread" I know we're keeping it classy but I'd like to see it renamed "the murdering, vile, thieving bastards thread".

    RIP John Prescott

Na, Two Jags had charisma and respect, she's an idiot who hasn't got the brains she was born with.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You are partly correct but they start off with odds compilers using their knowledge and opinion to construct a book, that has nothing to do with any weight of money.

Tommy Muir RIP : minutes applause on 71 mins

I didn't know him but sounds a proper character. Passed from the same disease that took my mum, pulmonary fibrosis, a devastating illness that has no cure, it stops sufferers walking a few yards before getting well out of breath. RIP Tommy, you can't suffer anymore.

Not being pedantic but they won't "owe" it, a PIK would be applied to the accounts to reflect the commercial value of the loan with regards to APT rules.

    Songs that involve somebody wanking

My mate bought Aladin Sane, we were about 14 at the time, took it back to his house where his mum and grandma were, put the record on the turntable, the look on his mum's face when that line came out was priceless. Nobody ever swore or used lewd language in front of parents in those days, my...

Yep, the divide used to be big, anyone playing League was prevented from joining a Union team, not a big fan of either code but I'll watch the big games. I play golf (mid 60's) and that sport divides a lot of people but I love it, I'm on the wane big time but keep at it, my warm up consists...

Each to his own, would be a bit boring if we all liked the same things. Two of my mates, one Blue and one Oldham love watching the tennis, I can't stand it but as I said I used to love playing the game, bit of a dichotomy there, I wouldn't criticise the game, it's just not for me to watch.

    Joke thread

I'd never heard of it until my mate was diagnosed, a very complicated illness, there's plenty of research going on. Didn't know Ian Mellor had died from that, just seen he was 74, very sad.

Christine in Two Doors Down does a brilliant rendition of Paddy McGinty's goat, it's a great programme that, along with Still Game (best comedy ever for me) two fantastic Scottish comedy's.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

I caught a dose of Val Doonican off a Barbara Dickson lookalike in my early 20's, proper embarrassing episode that included treatment at Oldham hospital.

I'm sure you will enjoy it if watching tennis is your thing, tickets will be worth a few quid but there's very strict rules in reselling. Two mates applied a few years ago and both got two tickets for the same day so they flogged a pair, I can't remember exactly what happened and how they were...

Loved playing Tennis (at Sportscity) but it's one sport I hate to watch! Can't stand the temperament of a lot of the players, bunch of diva's. An old mate of mine who's a huge Rugby Union fan went to Wimbledon many moons ago, he said never again, it's too much of a "girly" day out, full of...
