Leeds United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Nico O'Reilly could prove to be a top class box to box midfielder, with all the attributes and already integrated into the City team and play. Amazing player considering how young and inexperienced?

Phil did as Pep asked. He took responsibility, won the game and MotM

Nico OR again showed his quality. Much harder to pick the worst player as more competition.

To slow, no intent. City playing pass the parcel with the ball so no one is looking to score. No City player making a claim to be first choice. At least Pep has made changes for the 2nd half.

No midfield. Reijnders all over the place and not the right ones.

Quality player. Every time I watched him play for Chelsea I thought what a big miss for City?

    North Stand Construction Discussion

I'm not a fan of the bricks, mortor and brickwork in the photos. I can only guess it was inspired by the Maine Road turnstyles just before demolition. It may look better in context once construction is complete. Overall the development is imposing and impressive.

Liverpool PL (H) | Man of the Match

It has to be Jeremy but credit to NOR who snuffed out Salah whilst supporting Doku and a shout to Nunes. Our FB play is exceptional without having any. Pep does it again.

City are much the better team and deserve the lead. 2-0 is a fair reflection.

Does anyone wish we still played at Maine Road and why?

Maine Road was awful to get to if not within walking distance. Traveling by limited stop bus from Wythenshawe meant jumping off near the bus depot on Princess Rd., ... if the driver slowed (rag drivers would slow then speed up) or a long walk from the Raby Street stop. If you missed the match...

It has to be Foden. Best performance in over a year with a two goal bonus.

Bournemouth PL (H) | Man of the Match

Of course Haaland and Cherki grab the headlines. Lots of other good performances but my vote is for O'Reilly who has established himself amongst big signings as a City academy youngster. We seem to win with him playing which cannot be coincidence. His goal was a bonus today.

Yes. Mail quote: "Anthony Taylor and the VAR Paul Tierney allowed the goal to stand and Guardiola later heavily criticised the refereeing fraternity – suggesting they have been predisposed to award decisions against City throughout his time in England. ‘An unbelievable goal for the official,’...

Bournemouth (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

City players continue to be refereed to European non contact game standards whilst our opponents get away with Championship rough and tumble refereeing. Pep is right to draw attention to the bias.

Great performance and result by City against the 2nd team in the PL to go second. Bournemouth were outplayed and ran out of steam and ideas. Credit to Pep, his staff and players after so many injuries.
