Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

North Wales GC
I was on a pre booked golf holiday in Wales.
It was booked and paid for well in advance I demanded that I went out first in the group of 16 players and told the lads I was playing with to pull there finger out because we needed to get round fast.
I raced around as fast I could and got in after 5 minute of the start. I was sat there with two lads who weren’t from the golf society I was with. Kicking every ball F ing and jeffing with every mistake and eventually going crazy when we won.
I won the comp with 35 points and won the next day at Morfa Nefyn with 37 point and won the final day at Conway with 42 points. Won the 3 holiday with a total of 114 points, but nothing could compare to how happy I was that City beat Gillingham that day although I was there to watch it.
never gave the two lads I watched that with to much thought to be honest. But a good few years later I was on a golf holiday at Myrtle Beach with a group from Blackley GC. The first night we met in the bar this lad from the group came into the bar with a City shirt on and I started talking to him we got around to where we were on that day and it turned out he was one of the lads who I sat watching Gillingham game with at North Wales GC.

Me too in the Gillingham seats behind the goal at Wembley until the very end of extra time. I didn't leave even when fat Bob scored the second for them and I was surrounded by Gills fans celebrating their anticipated victory. Young man's game that, StonerMe and almost everyone else on our 2 double decker buses were leathered before getting on. Shitfaced by Brum but proper fast kept us going. Monster weekend.

Australia v West Indies at LCCC in the One Day Cricket World Cup. I expected us to be promoted automatically when I agreed to go with my mate. Never trusted City to do what I expect since.

Working the Sunday as Security Manager at Daisy and Tom, having to accept freebie shitty gifts for David Beckham and his soon to be wife......one of the rather nice Managers kept me company to listen to the radio for the penalty shoot out!
