City v United Beijing friendly pre match - CANCELLED

It's their open training session this afternoon so that might explain it. Also if there's no matches or anything on it can be quiet. I accidentally stayed out until 6AM and completely missed the training this morning but supposedly they moved it off the pitch at the birds nest to preserve it...

City v United Beijing friendly pre match - CANCELLED

A bit extreme to say its virtually certain- I'dsay its pretty unlikely at the moment. Theres flooding an landslides in Hebei province which is close to Beijing but the city itself has fairly good drainage etc. There was another short storm tonight/last night but that only lasted about an hour...

City v United Beijing friendly pre match - CANCELLED

I've been living in Beijing for the last 2 years. To answer some of the questions, we're definitely 7 hours ahead of UK time, which means KO at 12:30PM UK time. It was rainy as f*** on wednesday. Thursday and Friday have not been bad and there is no groundwater around the city so we should be...

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

Cheers man that'd be great. With relation to the weather, it was brutal on wednesday, the worst I've seen it but it's mostly cleared up now. Looks fine from where I am but there is another storm forecast for monday supposedly

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

I've been in Beijing for about 2 years now and the only other city fan I've met was Spanish and we were his second team. I've met a horrible amount of rags though. From what I remember I don't think I've ever seen anyone about wearing a city shirt either but a fair few others. There will still...

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

Anyone know how many/if any blues or SCs are going to the Beijing match? Picked up a couple of cheap tickets and wouldn't mid a bit of a session before/afterwards if anyone is keen.

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

Well, despite what I was told last weekend there are tickets on sale now on the official website- £63 for Shenzhen and £86 for Beijing. Not sure I can justify spending that much on a ticket. Will probably just swing by on the day and see what I can get from a tout

Just to clarify- everything I've been posting is about the Beijing match, but the website also links to the Shenzhen one too

OK a better link than the one I posted before is this: http://www.228.com.cn/ticket-119724529.html By the looks of things this is only pre-sale, including the seats for man city fans (the second bracket of 800 kuai tickets- first column second row) Using my not great mandarin skills and a...

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

TICKET NEWS!!! I was at an event at the British Embassy in Beijing on Saturday and there was a MCFC representative promoting the derby who I collared and spoke to about the ticket situation. From what she said, there will be no tickets sold directly through the official website, they will all...

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

I'm in Dongzhimen at the moment but I've been all over the place the last few years, mainly near Wudakou and way out in west Beijing too. Paddy's is the only real option I know of at the moment for decent football coverage cause they will show all of the matches at the same time with their...

Chinese OSCs, Shenzhen Blues + Sun Jihai + Shenzhen Peng City FC

I've been living in Beijing for the last 2 years and will be around on the date of the derby if there are any blues that want to meet up and get drinks etc. Out of the 2 I'd recommend Beijing over Shenzhen because it's a better match and a better city. I visited Shenzhen last year and its a...

    Value Gold 14/15

Yeah, went down to the ground about 8 but there wasn't much in the way of a queue. I was quite lucky with it last season I got a seat in 308 a few rows back from where my normal ST had been the year before, but for 15 odd quid a match I'd happily sit on the front/back row!

    Value Gold 14/15

You have to have had a seasoncard the previous season I think. I got one last year over the phone but it was a right ballache, think they ended up selling out after about 2 hours or so. I seem to remember someone last time round said they issue 500 but there's been a lot of alcohol abuse...

    Value Gold 14/15

Going on Sale tomorrow at 9AM. I'm thinking of heading down to the stadium in the morning to grab one as I can't stand the phone/website! Did anyone do this last year? Was there any queues? Also is it the ticket office in the stadium shop? Cheers Blues

Where did people get put who bought Value Gold?

Re: Where did people get put who bought Value Gold? 308, about 10 rows back from where I was last season with my non value gold ticket. Can't complain about the seats for the price they are and I have enough points to head to 110/111 for cup matches and have a sing song.

    New CM11 flags

Think I have seen the top one on a Rag banner before and the bottom one on a city banner already.
