Bayern Munich Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

I'd be damn proud of our boys if they could somehow scrape a win or draw at their turf. But putting 4 past Neuer? It just won't happen. Last season + ongoing season Bayern played 76 games in League, Cup and UCL combined and conceded a total of 42 goals whilst finding the back of the net a...

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

Spot on. It seems whenever Dortmund face disciplined teams that park the bus from the get go they tend to struggle to create high quality chances. The recent cup games spring to mind as well as the league games against Braunschweig, Bremen, Frankfurt and Nürnberg. The games against Bremen and...

5 minutes of valor. Too little too late.

Looking good so far but we need to start and threaten at some point.

That really isn't the problem here. Just take a good look at what's happening on the pitch. We get outplayed right now. The boys should get a grip and start to play like the home team. Instead they are beeing taken to school and seem to enjoy the experience.

Team looking very nervous after that goal. Time to string some passes together to get some confidence. There's enough time to turn it around. I'd take a draw as well.

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

Re: Bundesliga review Banning flares, smokebombs or firecrackers sure takes it's toll on the athmosphere but there doesn't seem to be any alternate way since every now and then non-participants sustain injuries such as burns, fume-intoxication or loss of hearing, as with the recent case of a 4...

    Thiago Alcantara

Haven't seen him play in a while. Last time i did he looked pretty similar to kroos albeit a little more dynamic but without the goalthreat. Anyone on here who's seen him play recently and could give a little update to his strengths and weaknesses?

    Robben

That's not the attitude that'll bring us future success. Robben got driven out at Madrid and Bayern took the chance to sign him on a cheap. A fee of 25 m Euros and he's on less than 100k per week. And look what they got from him in return. Sure he's go his antics and won't ever stay free of...

    Neymar

Didn't think of that one. Maybe Volkswagen (Audi) involved? They'd propably offer a nice sponsorship deal to neymar to lure him to Bayern. Audi holds 9.1 % of FC Bayern so that could actually hold some truth.

    Neymar

But what's the deal? If Neymar actually signs for Bayern they'd have 7 players for 3 positions. Shaqiri is a brilliant prospect who will need game time to further improve and I just don't see him playing with Ribery, Robben, Müller, Kroos, Götze AND Neymar as options up front. Scary thought...

    Neymar

https://twitter.com/vicentecascione Former Santos Offical Vicente Cascione claiming Neymar is Bayern bound. His source is supposed to be 100% reliable. Can't be true, right? What's...

    Bundesliga review

Of course they were the better team over both legs and fully deserved to go through. Especially in the first leg they raped Madrid. Still they had to struggle at the end, like bayern had to when facing Arsenal at home in the return leg. Struggling isn't necessarily a prolonged state. You're...

    Bundesliga review

You should learn to read properly. I wrote "pretty much their best eleven currently available" which excludes the injured Götze and Piszczek, of course. Bender and Reus came on later when Bayern were down to ten men, so apart from those injured they played at their full strength against a second...

    Bundesliga review

Well, that wasn't quite what I expected. Dortmund rested Hummels, Reus and Bender with Götze and Piszczek injured. Reus and Bender came on later. Bayern with excessive changes to their usual starting lineup. The only players from their usual starting 11 were Neuer, Boateng and Alaba. Müller...
