FA Cup Final Saturday 14th May '22

Well the narrative outside England was that Liverpool hadn't win the Pl title, now they have. And outside the UK the CL title is in a league of its own. PL doesn't even count unless you're a PL fan. But when I visit Liverpool, there is certainly some bitterness from the local fans towards city...

Not to anyone outside England. But I agree city are the champions of England.

Sure we want everything, but at least it's nice to have won all titles in the Klopp era. Another CL is a huge bonus at this stage. At worst it's a good season!

    Liverpool Thread - 2021/22

I am mostly impressed with Pep's ability to adapt. When he left Barcelona he was all about posession. He had some problems with fast, direct play in Germany, but a couple of years later he'd adapted the defense and managed to incorporate some fast, direct attacking in to his own team. When he...

Premier League (midweek games) 19/20/21 April '22

Ove only done beginner courses, but if you want to implement 5 in the back quick and dirty, you 1 - either play wide and extremely compact or 2 - centre, give away the wide areas and step up and try to shut down the middle. United play wide AND step up with their shields in the middle

Well to be honest I avoid other Liverpool fans when I'm in Liverpool ;) But in Sweden I'd say that most fans have been fairly level headed. But I'm seeing a shift in behaviour.

    Liverpool Thread - 2021/22

I grew up being the only Liverpool supporter , my best friends were Tottenham, Aston Villa and Man U supporters. I think that gives a bit of perspective to things. I have no problem admitting that city has a higher, more consistent quality. I think that now when many young fans grow up, the...

He has always rotated heavily, this is the first season where the bench players have been good enough to get Liverpool to the latter parts of the competitions.

    EFL Cup Final 27th Feb / 16.30 | Chelsea v Liverpool

Nice, but it means nothing compared to CL and the PL.

I think that Minamino, Origi, Ox and a few other rotation players should start, and keep the legs fresh for Wednesday.

Premier League ( Midweek Games ) 23/24 Feb

Conte is similar to Mourinho. He works best when he can stand low and counter and exploit. It happens to all teams that try to have a high line and play compact at the opponents half. In ten games city will win 6, draw three and lose one. You got unlucky. It happens.

Villa had a decent foundation. Nice work rate, topped with quality. A nice bunch of young players and a club and fans with down to earth ambitions. Fans are just happy to not be in the relegation battle. Even with slight improvements, Gerrard will be safe and get time to build his team. Everton...

Minamino is a fairly good signing. Even if he's not a success they'll probably get enough sugar on top to cover his fee+wages. If you want to talk about bad signings you should look at Ox, Keita and especially Thiago. Keita was hard to predict, but the other two were really wierd signings...

Premier League Games 21/22/23 January '22

No doubt, you have to be a blind Liverpool fanto think that's a penalty. Jota touches the ball, it goes in one direction. Jota sees the goalie and decides to abandon the ball trajectory and move towards the golie. VAR started out so well this season, but now it's becoming a farse again.

It will depend on how far they go, but historically the biggest problem with these kind of tournaments is the physical and mental fatigue. They will go from the most intense period of PL, directly to the African Championship.

Jota is probably good enough, but not at Salah's level. Agree completely in Minamino, he isn't good enough. It's 2019 but a bit better movement and position switching. Down side is that all players are at the peak, and at any time will start to decline. The thing is that Liverpool will be...

Yes, and even with backing he will need a bit of luck in the recruitment too. Let's not forget that a fair share of Klopp's players have been flops. Immobile is hard to forget. I actually think players like Sarr and Adama Traore could flourish under Klopp. Although Traore may be too old to pay...
