All about Silverlake - FT piece just posted

Worth a read. Serious players and won't simply be allowing the board to make decisions based on what's good for Abu Dhabi. No chance. https://www.ft.com/content/cb4f8b5a-07c9-4880-a220-f4f5c56d4735

ICYMI - Seeing the Wood for FFPs - 2 part analysis (Semi-long reads)

I wrote these 2 pieces for 9320. Miguel Delaney hated them which is the best endorsement I can think of. Give them a read if you want a more nuanced, precedent based analysis of the situation. https://ninetythreetwenty.com/blog/seeing-the-wood-for-the-ffps-manchester-city-uefa-go-to-war/...

WBA explained - RM thought we were AWAY v Chelsea

Could he really make a mistake like this or was he just misquoted? "We are playing at Chelsea at 12.45 on Saturday and this is dangerous for my players," he said. "That does not give them enough time to recover from the game in midweek. That is only two days before such an important game and...

Mancini: No outrage at Robbie Keane loan deal 2 Feb 2010 Roberto Mancini last night didn't expressed his "utter outrage" at the "criminal waste" of talent that saw Tottenham Hotspur loan Robbie Keane to Celtic last night. The £12m, hugely experienced, Ireland star who was one of the best...

    The GK answer...FREE AGENTS

As I understand it clubs are able to sign free agents at any time. A decent goalkeeper needs to make himself a free agent early (ie 3 weeks before he ordinarily would) to earn himself 3 of the biggest games of his life.

    Special dispensation and David James

There is one great goalkeeper whose club has no option but to take a decent £500k-£1m to loan him....DAVID JAMES. Then again I'm sure that Birmingham with their questionable finances right now would do a deal...

The Unofficial Official MCFC Statement Re: Kaka

For those that care about being told the truth or at least a version that is comprehensible and doesnt include the phrase "broader community" here is my take on the real announcement the Club should have made on Monday night based on the leaks in the Guardian and Independent which do sound...
