That's the reason I'm not the biggest Given fan. I think he's a good shot stopper but he can't deal with crosses and doesn't control the defense well enough. Even though Hart doesn't have the experience, I still think he's a better all round goalkeeper.

We're always gonna have problems with set pieces because we do zonal marking rather than man to man. It's our tactical weakness imo.

I think De Jong will help with our defensive problems when he is back in the team. He proved it in the World Cup for Holland. They had two average centre backs but were made to look better by a strong midfield.

Agreed. Last season Kompany was by far the best defender we had. He's not been the best in pre-season but no one has really been amazing so far either. He'll be starting centre back when the season starts no question.

It's amazing how good he already is at 19. He's obviously got some attitude problems but i think thats what makes him a great player. A move to England is just whats needed for him imo. Get him here on his own where he can just focus on his football.
