    Red Cafe in meltdown

Spot on. Football is more tactical now,and they’ve been left behind. Even clubs like Brighton have a more sophisticated way of playing. God knows what Tent Peg is trying to do with them. Can’t play out from the back with Onana and Casemiro there, and no decent wingers to get crosses in to anyone...

    Red Cafe in meltdown

The whole thing about it being simply about playing out from the back is a bit of a red herring. It’s about build up play and playing well all over the pitch, usually starting from the back. Making sure passes go to feet,a spare man is created in midfield, simple passing triangles are made etc. As...

City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

Agree about the Trainline, just about every other site was saying the same thing,so quoted them.

City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

Just looked on the Trainline, and they’re saying that the all-stop local service from Macc to Piccadilly is running direct, with no bus replacement required. Seems to be only the London and inter-city trains that are affected. The all-stops are running at 17 minutes past the hour,we’ll be on the...

    Chelsea (A) - Sun 18th Aug '24 | Post Match Thread

Thought it was Kovacic best game in a City shirt. Professional performance against a team that looked like they’d just met in the car park.

    Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

He wasn’t too bad today, but never stops play for a foul when he should, and stops play when he should let it continue.

Indeed,I’m amazed that people haven’t called for the change earlier.

Pep Revolution book by Marti Perarnau

Bought the original Pep Confidential before the start of the 16/17 season. A very interesting read, especially the stuff about positional play,a world away from everything that had gone before. One thing is clear,he’ll never depart from his core principles of how his sides play the game,no matter...

    Community Shield - 2024/25 | 10 Aug Sat 3pm

Done Amersham a few times. There’s decent parking just down from the station on Chiltern Ave. Slightly further out from the other stations but closer to the motorways and nice and quiet. Recommended.

Wealdstone FC for pre FA cup final fun and ‘stress free’ parking

Third time we’ve used Wealdstone for a Wembley trip, and can’t think of a better and easier way to get there. Absolutely rammed on Saturday,so hoping WFC made a nice wedge out of it.

Alternatives to wealdstone for the final

Amersham is decent,on the same tube line as Chorleywood with decent secure parking a 5 minute walk away. Parked there a few times, never had any issues.

Ruislip is a 5 minute walk away.

How are you getting to the Cup Final?

Wealdstone again. Third time for us,just about the easiest option I can think of.

    Wembley Warning

Went for a pee at halftime on Saturday, the concourse behind 518,519 was absolutely rammed, uncomfortably so. Accident waiting to happen IMO.
