£2.50 for a Coke

think he was trying to highlight how extortionate the prices are at city/football, think he is more than aware he doesn't have to buy them there and that he can also take his own in.

I was shocked that it was 3 and a half quid for a pie!

One of the reasons I never buy any food or drink inside the stadium.

Never understand why people feel the need to eat and drink and pay those prices during a game. Do it before and after the match. If fans boycott then the prices will come down.

You expect to get fleeced at any sort of event when they have a monopoly on food/drink/merchandise etc. Some shops charge over a quid for a bottle of coke so 2.50 isn't the end of the world if you're thirsty and only having one. Obviously if you're gonna lose sleep over it bring one in.

jesus or we complaining about stuff like that now?? while watching players like aguero,tevez,silva,nasri,kompany,balotelli and yaya playing in our beloved shirt for a huge amount of investment the price of coke is £1 higher than outside the stadium??? come on guys!

this isn't a "yes you can buy it outside the stadium" thread, just noting my surprise that it's so expensive, can get it cheaper in south London at The Oval.

Against ground regulations. Technically speaking so is buying a £2.50 bottle from their shop and taking it to your seat

7 The following articles must not be brought within the Ground - knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Ground.

17 Under the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985 (as amended), the following are offences for which a person can be arrested by a police officer and conviction could result in a Banning Order being made:

17.1 Attempting to enter the Ground or being inside the Ground whilst drunk;

17.2 Being in possession of any intoxicating liquor, or bottle, can or other portable container and which could cause damage or personal injury, when entering the Ground or in a public area of the Ground from which the event can be directly viewed.

I bring money (coins) into the ground. These, in the wrong hands, can be used as missiles too. It's clearly not an argument about throwing things, more what they can fleece you for.

I took my daughter yesterday (her 1st game) . Got a drink and a packet of wine gums for a nice round fiver. She won't be comin again... haha.
