ok I'm a bit shocked this isn't a thread already


Why isn't this money being spent on homeless people already in the city? What about people already on social housing waiting lists? Are the migrants going to leapfrog them?

Does anyone care?
 
No doubt before long there will be big gangs of them assaulting women - happening all over Europe :(

For fuck's sake. There's this small matter of them fleeing a war zone, having had family members killed or mutilated, losing children and everything they ever had.

Hmmmm stuuuuuu but it is happening - you can't deny terrorists see it as an easy way to get not Europe. Yep I have sympathy for the dreadful things that are happening to these people. Let me ask you this - if it was happening in England would you pack up your family and get a boat to say Ireland ? Or would you bloody try and sort some sort of resistance and fight?

That absolutely depends on circumstances. A question like that is too simplistic because it would require specific details of any number of factors. If you are suggesting that it's somehow wrong to flee for your life from a war zone that is not of your making, then I won't dignify that with a response.

I still thnk there is a lot to be said for staying and trying to fight for your own country

But those are two different problems. People don't rend to be homeless because of lack of housing but because of other issues surrounding poverty, drug abuse and or mental health
