Hmm solid oak? Perhaps you shoulda got a joiner in, must've been expensive.
As long as you're not butchering all the cuts I suppose it's ok :) Just a really thick bead for round the skirting boards.

I'm pretty handy normally, just taking longer than I thought :( I've took the skirtings off its much easier :)
