Kaz - any suggestions what I can do with my mums cat? We've been going every day to feed him and he has a cat flap at mums house but as time goes on it's not really fair. Don't know what to do with him :(

If he seems happy enough then he is probably ok for a while
You could try a cattery but it will cost you,it could be more stressful for it than being at home though.Depends on the character of the cat really

Don't do that! take it to a local sanctuary and ask them to care for it until the time comes,they will promise not to kill it but to look after it
