What happened BBB's mam?

She fell sat night and broke her hip, had the op yesterday, she's 92 and major surgery so it's not good
Ouch, had that with my Nan in April and she's a bit older, that's when surgery gets difficult. Hope she recovers well.

How did your nan cope with it?

What a shit day. Played footy and pulled my hamstring again after probably going back too early! I am slow Worried shitless about my old man. He Has had depression for about 6 months and is repeating himself and getting anxious and confused. His mum died of alseimers and I am worried he is showing early signs. He wont go to the doctors and says he is really struggling to get motivated to do anything, can you get such a thing in your late 60s???

I have no idea how to advise or help him and I am that busy with my job and kids that it's hard to spend too much time with him.

Maybe he just has depression but he keeps asking me the same thing!! Shit getting older.

Pulled through the Op OK but hasn't been the same since. Don't get your hopes down though, my Nan has 11 years on your Mam and wasn't great in the lead up to breaking the hip.

Does sound like dementia WW, my mam repeats the same question over and over again, has a memory span of about 2 mins :(

Hard as nails my Nan, lived through the Civil war! :)
She is though, I've thought we were going to lose her so many times since she had multiple organ failure in '06 but she's seen her children and grandchildren grow up and she's determined to see as many great grandchildren as she can. We're very proud of her.

hate to say it ww but that's exactly how my mum started with dementia. Happy to share my experience if you think it would help.

Kick his arse and get him tested, I know it's hard but you'll be doing right by him.
