I went to the bank earlier and tried to take out a fiver, and the machine said it didn't have any. Then I took out a tenner instead and it gave me two fivers.

You're lucky! Personally I love it when I take out £20, and the machine spits out 2 tenners. I feel like when I buy my packet of rolos or whatever, the shop assistant won't mind so much being handed a tenner, than a £20 note. It's all to do with change.

The 2 fivers when asking for a tenner is the holy grail.
