We have a £50m offer in writing on the table for someone right now.

And no, it's not Ross Barkley ;)

There is absolutely no way the nature of our present business suggests a cap of any sort.

Guardiola's release clause???

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Something I find incredibly frustrating is the lack of clarity and openness which surrounds the already ugly FFP.

Khaldoon alluded to the club 'taking a pinch' and the club's official statements suggest we are free from sanction for next season, and we are surmising that a deal has been struck with UEFA so that they dont look too weak whilst maintaining FFP, even though MCFC have never recognised the regulations as legitimate!!

From the little I know, and its something I posted on here a while back, the club will simply ask UEFA to quantify what any spending limit should have been (past tense as City will do their business as they see fit) *IF* they were to be considered to have breached FFP again.

Now its over to TH and others to speculate and inform as per the names in the frame but I see this summer as one without much restriction and with a net outlay of about £125m on fees alone.

Thats pretty much what United will spend though so its not exactly blowing away the opposition.

If we don't finish in a European place surely any restrictions would have to be lifted as we wouldn't be competing in europe just the premier league?

You can't shape the interpretation of the rules to fit your current circumstance if you provide clear guidance on them. A lesson City learnt pretty hard last year.

Tolmie has alluded in the FFP thread on the main forum that we have tabled a £50m bid for someone. Who is it that we have tabled a bid for?

My guess would be Pogba.

"shhhhhh, it's quiet but this summer is gunna be LOUD"

Given certain posts by Tolm and Danamy, its time we got our favourite thread back and yes, ive ran this by a mod before it gets binned.

Come on guys, youtube away to your hearts content :-)

It's either pogba or sterling imo.

At £50M you can rule out Bale.No way would they accept a "massive" loss like that.
