Former Man City midfielder is critically ill. Played for us in the 82/83 season and was our first Norwegian player. Moved on to Norwich after his sole season with us. Had solid career as player but perhaps more famous as coach. He has coached Norway, Denmark and Icekand on the international stage, at club level he has coatched Rosenoborg, Malmö and Bröndby to name a few cöubs

Hope he pulls through this

I remember the name but I can't recall his games. That was the end of the John Bond era. Tommy Caton would have been playing then.

Best wishes.

Sad news indeed as he was supposed to be a TV pundit tonight in Milan for Italy v Norway.

He was only at City for about 12 months, but he actually made his debut in a goalless draw with Forest (as substitute for that well known City superstar Martin O'Neill) in 81-82 and also featured in the 1-1 draw at the swamp later that season.

His last appearance was at Goodison Park circa October 82
