“Block” feature

I have you on block as you post a lot of bollocks. This is the first post of yours i've seen for a wile - hope you're well?
I am indeed, thank you.
As far as the posting a lot of bollocks is concerned, you'll not be surprised to hear
that I think the majority of your input goes well beyond that description.
However, I consider 'Blocking' anyone as the actions of a petulant Owen Jones character, and have never even considered it, let alone done it, and I've been here a while.
Anyway I truly hope your health is tickety-boo as well.

What is the difference between blocking and ignoring?
From the replies I think that I am in the minority that would welcome this feature

For me the difference is that:

1. When you put someone on ignore you do not see their posts - but they do see yours

2. Blocking would mean that, for those you block, you do not see their posts - but, importantly, they do not see yours either. This is / would be soooo much better than simply putting someone on ignore

This is because quite a few posters on here suffer from the 'stalking' by individual posters who deliberate target them to try to either drive them off a thread or to just gratuitously slag them off / abuse them. If those persons were able to be blocked so they can not see 'your posts' - this would be much reduced.

In summary - the 'ignore' feature actually supports stalkers - the 'block' feature would frustrate them
