“City in crisis”

Not entirely surprising that a large chunk of our fans aren’t mentally equipped to deal with this run of results.

Embarrassing cunts.

This is normal. Teams that win titles nearly always drop off the following season. I can think of one particular and apposite example from the 1930s.

What did people think? That it would last forever? That it would always be plain sailing? That we would never falter?

How thick do you have to be to actually believe all that?
The only surprising thing is that it hasn’t happened sooner.
You’d hope people would understand that there’s a reason 4 in a row has NEVER been done before in top flight history, and yet, far from being satisfied with that, they’re suicidal that we’re not going to do 5 in a row..

Not only that:
Domestic Treble (can’t be done, said GPC).
Uniquely, winning the treble as champions.

Domestic records:

100 points in a season.
21 consecutive wins (all comps)
18 consecutive league wins.
19 consecutive games without going behind
23 consecutive home wins (all comps)
20 consecutive away wins (all comps)
12 consecutive away league wins
10 consecutive wins in UEFA comps
11 champions league wins in a single season
26 consecutive CL games unbeaten (CL record)
33 games unbeaten in CL games (still ongoing)
169 goals scored in a season (all comps)
106 goals scored in PL season
113 PL goals scored in a calendar year
32 league wins in a season
36 league wins in a calendar year
19 away league wins in a calendar year

All the above achieved with Guardiola and some wet wipes want him sacked…..

If you want to see embarrassing read the last 20 pages of the Pep performance thread.

It is hard to take this rambling rant seriously, amounting as it does to an attack on the club's policy throughout a period of glittering success. Kyle Walker is 34, the same as KdB, and he had injury concerns at the end of last season and they carried on to the start of this season. His pace seems to have deserted him but given the limited time for rest and recovery it may well be too soon to argue that his career is over. It certainly is with KdB. KdB did not begin to struggle physically and we did not play our best football without him - last season or any other time. Kevin suffered serious injury in January 2016 and did not return until 22 April. Similarly he suffered serious injury in training before the 2019-20 season not to return until late January 2020 but still to play a key role in winning the domestic treble. In the opening game of last season he was injured, underwent surgery and only came back on 13 January at Newcastle. City did not lose a game after his return until the cup final. Kevin has not struggled physically - he has had 3 or 4 serious injuries and he has had an injury this season and because of injuries to other players little time to recover before having to return.

Your critique of City's recruitment omits important factors. Altogether you dismiss 9 players - over 1/3 of the squad - as not good enough. You have wanted cover for Rodri for years but Phillips and Nunes are not good enough. Fine - but who is? Grealish is dismissed as a clear example of an overhyped English player who was never good enough, Stones is "unreliable" for fitness reasons as is Ake to a lesser extent. The facts show that these players and the others have been good enough and a crystal ball allied to a dose of angry prejudice is no way to judge their careers as over.

But the most laughable part of your opinion is your ludicrous misinterpretation of what Pep has said. Pep wants his players back, certainly. Which city fan doesn't. And, of course, he was referring to injured players. Immediately before what you quoted he had said that his quad was still good enough and if he had his squad City would still be top of the league. And that's the case. And he wants a 25 year old KdB! Do you know a City fan who doesn't? City's crisis is an injury crisis. Our back four and central defenders are never the same in consecutive games. Our midfield changes from game to game. Only Haaland (whom you forgot to mention in your review of our poor recruitment - along with Alvarez) is ever present. And at the moment he's living off scraps.
I don't know if you have deliberately misinterpreted my post or not.

Pointing out that these players are St the end of their careers is not attacking them it's just fact ...they are dine physically. I'm not diminishing for one second what they have achieved or the players they have been but they can't do it anymore.

How many times have you seen walker done for pace this season....everyone who is coming up against him at the moment

How often are you seeing kdb run through the midfield like he used you...you aren't cause he can't do it
The injuries gave caught up with them

Stones and Ake gave been consistently injury issues ...this isn't revisionist....its just a fact
Gundo...an absolute legend bur he just can't do it anymore
None of these are bad recruitment......they were all excellent servants and all deserve their place as legends of the club
Haaland I didn't mention as he isn't an issue...i agree he is living off scraps bit jot recruiting someone to replace Alvarez was a mistake as we're nunes and Phillips.....big mistakes
Those 9 players are either finished because time or injury or both has caught up with them....this isn't diminishing what they have done but it is true and we are seeing the results of this

You could have all those players fit( and most of them have been but then get injured agsin *(stones and Ake...which just proves my point) and just Rodri out and there would not be much difference....kdb has been fit to name in yhe squad for 5 weeks now...have yiu seen his performances when on the pitch?... a shadow of the player he was....and even when losing Pep doesn't bring him on as he knows he can't push him or he will break again..this is age catching up.

Yes injuries are an issue ( which happens with an aged squad)but people are burying their head in the sand if they think it is only that....it happens to every player...even the very best

That’s an incredible list.

Pep can have all the time he needs to rebuild the team.

It’s never enough for some.

There are people on this site that do not care about any of this.

Even saying it's ancient past now and that Pep needs to walk.

Rags and dipshites with an arsehole opinion.

Those people ain’t supporters of our great club.

Ignore at all costs mate. Infestation on here this season instead of just the odd defeat.
