Not without a completely new style of play. Unfortunately I don’t think Pep has an answer with the players we have. I predict a continuation of our poor form, more injuries and Haaland having to come deeper just to get a touch of the ball.

We can't go with a completely different style of play. The way we play is built into the muscle memory of these players and look what it's won us. But he does need to tweak it significantly!

You’re absolutely right, that would be every bit as calamitous as the current slow possession routine with the players we keep picking.
Gundogan though has to be axed at some point, as do Lewis and Bernie. We can’t keep starting with players who can’t run and, physically, couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding. They can’t press, they aren’t press resistant and the opposition is able to bypass them like they don’t exist, and every possible system flounders on those rocks.
If dropping them (along with Gvardiol, whose current gaffe rate is off the scale) means McAtee, Reilly and Simpson-Pusey getting a chance they perhaps aren’t really ready for, then so be it, but we can’t keep doing what we’ve been doing for the last 2 months. It’s madness.
Genuinely, you can’t see a win coming from anywhere. Everton and even Leicester will dig in and try and counter the same as everyone else.
