“City Matters” fan committee

Ive not been chairman for 15 years not been to an away game for many years so am not sure what your point is. But as this year is the 25th Aniversary of the branch am helping to organise an evening event and hopefully will get the trophies down to it
My point is fairly obvious , you can not be impartial in this discussion having had the involvement in supporters clubs that you have had, that is not a critism Don but a fact, as the eras of the likes of you and Roy L are long gone, but impartial you can not be particularly as you have been distance from the points era.

I asked the below in March, which I thought was reasonable seen as PB had responded to me saying away points weren't definitely being dropped despite previously saying they were.

I don't believe it warranted the below response especially when he was clearly lying.

Many other blues received far more abuse,I'll happily tell him this at anfield, ot etc unfortunately I can't tell him at Bournemouth as I no longer qualify. I know he doesn't either but I'm sure he'll be there.
The arrogance in PB's reply is something to behold. Using the royal "we". No wonder he fucked off (before he was fucked off).

I had given him the benefit of the doubt until his response, it wasn't worth it. As a supporter with 20k points at the time he had no interest in being my rep.

But i have not come out for or against any options. I mearly said the rep got a shit load of abuse from a small amount of people who had a vested interest. For all i know those people might have been getting tickets through supporters club. I did say on a post by Corky there will always be winners and losers and City Matters doesnt seem to have done much good up to now.If supporters clubs still get tickets fair enough if they dont, they dont.I t doesnt concern or bother me either way

I can't see where you have said the rep gave out louds of abuse?

Prestwich was asked
before agree anything that will impact us as fans will each of the committee canvase the group it represents for there thoughts or will it just be implemented ?
you said that's what he was doing, clearly he wasn't as the majority told him it was a shocking idea. Do still believe he was canvassing his members?

I'm fairly certain you know the rep on a personal level so understand your support for him, but this hardly makes you impartial.

It will be interesting to see what’s going to happen with the CL away games.

Are we going to end up with another Glasgow (Celtic) 2 hour queue farce again?

Are we going to have to traipse across a City with our passports to collect a match ticket again?

Are City fans who have got hold of tickets going to be turned away at the stadium gates because their ID doesn’t match the ticket owners ID?

Etc.

I am not and have never supported him I mearly stated he got shit loads of abuse.I do not know him on a personle level but twice while having a brew with Dave Wallace in Tesco he came up to Dave and said hello.and he also said hello at Radcliffe Boro. I have no intrest whatsover about how away tickets are distributed but think it should be fair for every one.And up to now dont think City Matters have been a success

You're conflating criticism of how tickets are allocated with criticism of being in a Supporters' Club. Why should people have to join an OSC to improve their chances of getting a ticket? That mitigates massively against those who live in areas that don't have a club or who can't attend meetings etc. Supporters clubs are great, I was in the city centre one and loved the guests and boozing with fellow Blues. But I never once felt it should have given me first dibs on tickets over someone who was doing the hard yards week in, week out.

Sounds like a good laugh in the Centre Centre Branch. For info, I’ve already posted that I didn’t apply for any tickets for my Branch for the Bournemouth game. Nobody complained about the West Ham game because it went to lower points than people expected. We got 2 tickets for West Ham but it would have reached the members’ points anyway.

I think that the arguing between sections of support will just make it easier to give more tickets to Corporates. It’s also too early to see the impact of the City Matters changes. When the West Ham game went to low points a lot of people said we need to give it a few games to see the impact but changed their tune when Bournemouth sold out at high points.
