Still think he'll go there in the summer when they bin Ramsdale off from his loan & Pope will be a senior backup.

Good move for him, to be fair - and I doubt City would stand in his way, or any of our fans would begrudge him that move either, providing Newcastle make us a decent offer.

Unfortunately for all, the timing wasn’t quite right for him to take over from Eddie as our undisputed first choice keeper - and then the Donnarumma opportunity unexpectedly presented itself to us at exactly the right time, and we just couldn’t pass that one up.

Shame, as he’ll make an excellent keeper for whichever club gets him next.

He could have gone there, kept a clean sheet in every single game and he still wouldnt be englands number 1 for the world cup so long as Pickford is fit. Pickford was never going to get ditched.
 
I got so much shit on here for saying we’d shafted him and it wasn’t in the plan to buy him and then Donna.

Obviously that is exactly what has happened, he’s well within his right to be fucked off with it. We’ve wasted a season of his career and any chance he had to be England number one at the upcoming World Cup.
