Doesn't strike me as having the leg strength to launch it long and looked a little reluctant to come off his line today, though with Khusanov and Guehi ahead of him, I suppose he has less need to sweep. He had one lapse, leading to the corner, and then perhaps predictably rushed out rashly to make amends. He's young and inexperienced, and that was evident in the second half when he continually kept feeding the ball back to our left and O'Reilly/Doku, who needed a breather; he needs to learn to take the pressure off by either retaining possession or forcing it to the other side.

Another medal, though, and he only conceded 3 goals in the 6 FA Cup games, and, in fairness, they were all damned fine finishes. Well done, James.

To me he looked if anything a tad too relaxed.
It disturbs me to think he may be going. In some ways I think he's Donna's equal. He doesn't pull out those astounding saves that Donna can (although he's no slouch) but I particularly like the fact that he releases the ball quickly when he can, and tries to catch the opposition midfield out. I do not see that his distribution is generally more inaccurate than Donna's, the vast majority of the time.

Could have taken his glove off when shaking hands with the future King maybe. Just a wild suggestion
