I'd say either Lake District or Anglesey. Neither's too far, and they're both very nice, quiet places.

Went to Pilly Palace as a kid, walked around with a huge moth on my nose for the entire time. It was weird.

dyserth in less than an hour easily. took me 2 hours 30 minutes exactly to get from my front door in hull to my mam's front door in prestatyn. we drove through dyserth about 10 minutes before getting there.

If your planning just one night stay for a bit of a break and a few beers, decent food and a bit of shagging then it doesn't really matter which hotel you're in. Cranage Hall in Crewe do some good deals but how about sunny Ashton...
