Rooney, tip off a rag yesterday, Ferguson wants Hart

Fookin LOL
I bet he does

for all Rags' stalinist PR machine ("De Gea is improving" etc) we all know that the goalie position has been one of scum's achilles heels ever since Schmeical left...

Pisscan can dream on ...

Realistically I think we will end up with Cavani plus one of either Eriksen or Isco. The problem for me is wingers. There is a lack of world class wide men on the market and any that are up for sale, like Bale, will cost in excess of £40million. Reus would be difficult but seeing as how Dortmund are likely to sign Dzeko, we may have some leverage.

We currently have the best back 5 in the premier league in; Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic and Clichy. We will only need to strengthen the defence if Lescot, Toure and Kolarov leave (which looks likely).

I think it will have been an exceptionally good summer if we come out of it with Cavani, Isco/Eriksen and Reus (and a back up versatile defender). 3 world class players. Quality not Quantity. If we can find buyers for Dzeko, Kolarov, and Lescott that would be great. K.Toure, Bridge and Cruz are all leaving as well. Sadly I think we will be unable to rid ourselves from Sinclair, Maicon and Garcia so we will be stuck with them.

Actually mate I agree with you , but there are complicating factors here

RM tends to play a wingback system

he doesn't really 'get' the traditional english winger system...

He seems to end up half haertedly buying into it so that we seem only ever to have one specialist winger, rather than two... (e.g. swp, then AJ, then Sinclair

Worse still he seems to always want to play them on their 'non-natrual flank' so that they will tend to cut inside rather than stretching the defence out wide and having their better foot to zap in the killer cross

Much as I love Bobby, this is one area where we don't seem to tick well and we either have to have a 2 winger option or just stick with the wing back system IMHO

we shouldn't go with the wing back system or traditional english winger system. Look at teams like Bayern and BVB, the wingers can go outside or go inside. That is what we need, someone who does both, doesn't Isco do this (as well as score goals)? The traditional english winger system is what we don't want.

Generally agree, but don't you feel that RM tending to put wingers on their 'wrong' side, for a full back that make defending easier 'cos they are more likely to cut in .. ?
As an ex winger I always found the short pass easier off my weaker foot than the long whipped in cross (not that my pub level footy can rally compare !! LOL !!) but you get my drift ..??
